That's a fair point! I'm trying to put some plans together right now. I'm not sure if I'll find a home for my new music, or if I'll end up bringing Red Force back. Currently in the process of connecting with old contacts to see if there's enough of a network and roster to release music through RFR.
On a similar note, if you or anyone here could recommend any newer up and coming DJs who play uplifting trance, that would be helpful. Feel free to share here or over a DM!
And back to your point, I think we can all make a difference in elevating the trance styles we want to hear. It just might take more effort to compete with algorithms and big marketing campaigns. Listeners will need to dig more for the music they like, and share/recommend the artists and labels to reach new ears. And like you said, the artists need to stay true to themselves with their music and show up for their audience, even when it's hard.
Engima State does and he has collaborated with Sean Tyas and he is particularly the only one that's come so close to how uplifting trance used to sound. He even add those soft intros that older trance used to have those crash cymbals as well. His tracks just need a bit of tweaking to get it just right but he is damn close.
JS1S remix is nice - no relation to Jakko from Darude/Bomfunk MCs unfortunately
I am not a big fan of the new Sean Tyas sound I loved his older style it's was just bang on amazing. This is one Enigma State Weakest track imo and it doesn't go anywhere for me.
Just amazing remix by Sean that breakdown is very similar to how Darude/Jakko used to make those amazing melodic breakdowns

@Redstar - There is also this guy on Activa's label but the quality on bandcamp is terrible and once again the percussion sound slightly off compared to older trance they sound too digital tight or plastic and sampled and not addictive like the older trance imo.
These is tagged under 'Techno' and to me they are trance sure they are acid sounds but they are so euphoric.

Catching up on this thread. Man I used to love all the stuff Joni Ljungqvist used to put out under his name, JPL etc. I recall he was in his late teens when his stuff was being played on ASOT and GDJB. "Explanations" was always my favorite. I used to love that buildup. He also did a few cool tracks with Terje Bakke. Bali, Fanatic, etc.

ive been listening to this track for the last few weeks, you dont hear too much trance like this stripped down in such fashion, the simplicity has aged well.

No disrespect to other producers, but this is what uplifting trance should sound like.

Reminds me of uplifting trance from 2004 similar vibes of sonic vibe vs mike shiver lunation with those arpeggios and old airwave too as well. Just listen to how subtle the drop which so rare in trance nowadays.
