I would have to say that I started getting into techno/trance in 1987-88, although for those that can really remember back in the day, Hashim - Al naafiysh, from about 1982 or 83, now that is an old school classic of which I still have a copy. My grandfather and uncle both owned vinyl shops that imported from overseas, so I started hearing the sound at an early age. After awhile I started reading the mags that were advertised with the records, but it wasnt until maybe 1990 that my 1st true love of techno/trance started. It came with Joey Beltram - Energy Flash on Neptune Records in 1990. What a fuckin stormer of a track. I still play it to this day and wil forever or for as long as it will play. It really doesnt matter when you started, who is older, who knows more, its all about everyone appreciating where the sound came from and where it is going and just going along for the fabulous ride.
