jas, mate... he was shit. he totally ruined the night he was the only one that didnt play the wet/discotech stuff.. it was THE best night ever until he got on the decks. yeah, at red/black scott bond played a few tunes that wernt from the red/black era, but most of the tunes he played were, and at least it was structured and he mixed them well! guy ornadel couldnt mix for shit (i could have quite easily played a better set) he kept fucking with the eq's when it wasnt required, and it wasnt even in time! he couldnt structure a set to save his life.. u know i love joydontstop to death, but i was truly disgusted when he played it! he didnt seem to grasp the concept of getting the tunes at the same volume, and to top it all off he kept turning off the foyet speakers!! i think he will regret that coke session he had before he went up.
if it was a normal night, he may have got away with playing those tunes (i agree, individually the tunes he played were mint) but not on that night. he will never be forgiven for that, and i have never ever ever in my long legged life seen a DJ get such a bad reaction at the end of the night.
never mind eh lets just forget the ornadel incident and pretend it finished at 4 |
Ha ha, he was pretty shit at frisky that night also. All i remember him playing was umek-gatex, joydontstop & faithless-insomnia at midnight, everything else was rubishhy techy trance techy stuff - sounded like fergie playing over classical music on 4w speakers.
