The handbrake of fiat uno never will work properly....i got 1 from my aunt 1.5 93 with 20.000 km

Agree with the most, not much new stuff for me...

one thing you forget to mention: NEVER EVER buy a car in a rush! you always end up with a car you don't really like and pay waaaaaay to much for it.. a friend of mine for example bought a citroen AX (there it is again) from 1990 last year for 1000 euros, which is IMO way too much money.

nevertheless there's a real good chance I end up doing the exact same this very month since there's a small chance I REALLY gonna need a reliable car in a couple of weeks .

there are some other very dull models aswell, such as the subaru impreza without the famous turbo-engine and the mitsubishi lancer. Also the sunny 4drs saloon is a absolute bargain! damn these cars are sooooo boring to see, yet so reliable .

about the family thing I have some doubts.... I don't see any problems in it IF YOU ATLEAST have a good deal. For example my cousin already told me I can buy his car (which is an '91 toyota starlet with 190.000 km) for the price the dealer gives him when he wants it to trade in . If I can buy it then I have a GOOD deal and he can get the car he is gonna buy cheaper as well!!

too bad he probably is gonna wait a couple of months and I don't have that patience

p.s. JP if you see a nice car for around 1000 euros (don't care how boring it is, but not too heavy (<1000kg) and reliable (japanese): LET ME KNOW! want one soon (yes, even a subaru 1.8 GL or something )
