Well I beg to differ. Just because Vandit are releasing it as his, doesn't mean it's his. At the end of the day it's still a remix of someone else's track.
And you still haven't respondent to the other 6-7 tracks I mentioned that have pretty much identical bass/percussion patterns...

I can argue this until im blue in the face and its not going to signify anything within this context - you and i both know that its going to come down to a matter of opinion.
You can happily beg to differ - but the fact of the matter is that its signed to Vandit and its being released as his track - i admire your acknowledgment of Les Hemstock but the site and the malinglist has it down in black in white as:
quote:
Paul van Dyk's new single 'Nothing But You' to be released on Vandit/Mute/Deviant on February/March 2003
As for your comment regarding what you would call the 'similarities between tracks' the keywords used by yourself were:
quote:
pretty much
Just like the technicality regarding Nothing But You - you yourself have used the phrase 'pretty much' which to me implies descrepencies in sound.
Nothing is identical - what your mistaking for this 'bassline' is the signature Paul sound; the notorious high hats and half beats but clearly not the percussion especially within the context on those tracks that you listed webmeister.
Identical - never.
Similar - hardly.
The pitch, the buildups/breakdowns whether you agree or not are always different.
In suffice i clearly disagree with ur proposed notion.

Look im sorry if im coming across as rather anal Webmeister.
But i promise im still the same guy who you PM'd on ITM and who admired you for your taste...but just slightly more defensive.

i was talking about the beats and bassline of the track not the format.
