ive made millions of friends in crasher and thats why it pisses on any other wanky club in that it aint just a club which maybe u lot see it as, thats why u dont understand, u think we jsut follow the brand name or whatever the fuck, then maybe that makes u arrogant, blabbing on about how sad we are etc when u dont even knwo the fuckin score.

gatecrasher has changed my life, and i continue to share the best nights of my life with my best mates with my fave music. if i went to palces for the best lineups id go to every stupid beer boy infested big event going. lineups mean jack shit when u have friends and moments to share them with.

I dont mean arrogant in that they dont talk to you. That would not worry me. I mean arrogant in that they feel they are gods gift to Crasher/clubbing.
Example:
Went Boxing Day. took a mate for his first GC experience. He was told to "get off the railings, newb" This is from someone that is a reg in the club and on the GC msg bd.

There are a lot of ppl that i first me in GC: Jeff, Nita, You, Dan etc. there are a lot i only ever meet in the GC (or GC events) cos I have never seen them elsewhere, Gods, Passion, Slinky. So, if i stop going, or GC stops existing, it will be a sad day. But, bottom line, my previously 'undying' love of all things GC is now somewhat waining because
1. GC dont listen to clubbers. period. never have, never will.
2. We are back to 3 yrs ago when the 'elite' cyber regs thought they owned the place. This is not a dig at cybers, i always go cyber at GC. But things got so bad that, believe it or not, cyber was banned from GC for nearly a year !! Things are almost as bad now as they were then, and they are getting worse since it went monthly.
3. The line-ups announced for the first 3 this year are poor, piss poor. Last Jan's resident/album launch mights were better. I can honestly say they are the worse line-ups since Seb was booked and miraculously GC's basement was flooded ;-)

Not so much my 2 cents but my dime's worth.

I missed this first time of reading...

FYI - i have been to GC for three years. This is not a big I-AM statement, just to notify you that i am not a Gods, Cream, Slinky, Passion etc regular. That is, if i could associate myself with any club, it would be Crasher.

However, I am in the position of being able to compare many different clubs throughout the UK. One of the best nights I ever had was at Promise. Unfotunately it is a 700 mile round trip for me and my missus to make. Hardly able to do that on a reg basis. Of all the clubs I have been to, GC had the best atmosphere on its best nights. But, I have also had some bad nights there too. All in, Gods, for me, provides the best atmosphere, week-in, week-out.

im not saying it is a big i-am statement, you and coup and everyone else have diiferent views to gatecrahser because to you guys maybe its another great club, but to me and a few others its sumthing different, but neither of you seen to understand, i didnt seem to understand it until i posted a few more times, continually saying were sad etc. etc.

Look - i have been to Crasher many, many times. More than you could conceive. I think it used to be the best club in the UK. You are still in your honeymoon period.

Don't malign other clubs when, by your own admission, you haven't even been there (Passion). If you can't talk first hand, then dont talk.

what the fuck, you still avnt read what i said, coup said we were sad for having affectipns for our club for reason you seem to ignore, then you agreed. i havnt been to passion, so what, shall i dump my favourite place in the world jsut coz some other club has a better lineup on? how about, no!

i have been to many other clubs, some good, some shit, but the matter of the fact is gatecrasher is different to all these for a more special reaosn than jsut good lineups. yet you continue to ignore this point and blab on about honeymoon periods and shit like that, and about me not going to passion, what baring does that have on why gatecrasher is special for me?

I'm totally with Ste.

a few points:

Crasher is not just about music, I go to other clubs and the emphasis on having a good night lies primarily with the DJs, in crasher this is not so prominant due to the numerous friends that I have made there.

Gatecrasher is on once a month, I do not see why we should sacrifice a night that's bound to be good, even if it is Tiesto, to go to a club we can go to every other week of the year.

There is no doubt me and Ste have a sort of allegiance to Crasher, that does not mean we automatically hate other clubs or do not want to give them a try.

Passion may well have a better atmosphere, but no way is it going to replace Gatecrasher in the top spot for a whole myriad of reasons.

Gatecrasher is a multifaceted experience, not a club.

We dont think clubbing starts and ends at crasher, i wanna go to as many diff places as i can. The point is, is that crasher is where it began for me and for fraz, ok i dont wanna sound like a old hardcore crasher verteran cos im not, we have only been going for 11 months buts thats besides the point. This place is really important to us and there is something about it that makes it really special. I will go to passion but not if it falls on a crasher date weather some of u think its sad is your opinion but thats what we want to do.

I remember u telling me mark that they was a few arrogant wankers there at crasher, and a few of the cybers were been tossers at B&W, but i have faith that it wont be like this or get any worse, new people will go and get into it. A mate of mine who i am taking him for his first crasher experience on the 25th is already planning on buying cyber gear, more people will get into it if they want. It cant go down the pan things only only just beginning
