Jeez, how shallow can you get?

can u please explain how that is shallow? if a girl doesn't like your music style then more often then not she's going to make stupid comments on it; which would drive me, personally, nuts and lead to a breakup. If she didn't like, BUT, was open to it, and accepted it, then I wouldn't care.

Anyway, the more things you have to share, the better it'll be for the relationship Even when the music wasn't involved (maybe it's a coincidence), some of the best dates I've ever had were either with trancers or junglists. Obviously, music taste is not everything. Going out with girls who don't like the same music maybe also a good experience (that's how I got into ska for 2 months, hehe).

It's not a matter of being shallow or narrow-minded, but it's just a bit of logic

What's Ska? I heard of it before but, I don't know exactly WHAT it is...

It's some blending of rock and reggae... I actually got a bit into punk ska, and it may give you an idea of what ska is (just remove the "punkness" ). Look for anything from "Less Than Jake" (my favourite is "goodbye friend" or something in these lines), there's also "Mighty Might Bosstones" and some others I don't really remember

I was thinking the exact same thing ...

and i think too that its not worth it but girls like that are not
so really easy to find.. and ofcourse you won't say no to a really beautiful girl, only because she doesn't like trance or any other electronic music.. but i will always try to find the best looking "electronic" girl

Music defines who you are? Blah.

Yeah right, I define who I am, not my music.

I think it's important because trance is a BIG part of my life now!
I thought about this last night and i came to the conclusion that i couldn't be with a girl that doesn't listen to trance.
Call me shallow and all that but it's important to me!

Im quite lucky to have found a girl that i love and that shares my interest in the music!

My rules list of choosing a woman consists of:

1.) Does she swallow?

--> Cos if not then fuck off

2.) Er, does she swallow?

i just think that you'd be missing out on a TON og great girls and guys by only going with people who LOVE trance. think about if you met the MOST perfect girl, but she listened to RADIO music. you would say 'nope... can't go out with you! you dont like trance' and wouldnt even give that girl a chance? thats pretty ridiculous i say. and i believe it is shallow. cause its the same thing as if you wont go out with a girl cause she has big feet or something. everyone's shallow for something... so your shallowness is due to trance. i'm not saying i'm perfect, certainly not, but i am MOOOOORRRREEEE than happy with my 'radio' girl. she is beautiful, intelligent, caring, funny, and doesn't enjoy trance like i do. she does however accept it, and that's all i truly ask for.

not that its a relevant question 'cause i wouldn't have ever met you if i didn't love clubbing etc

Anyway, the type of music that someone likes shouldn't necessarily be a factor in whether you have a relationship with them BUT clubbing etc. is more than just the music. It involves a whole lifestyle and if you want to go clubbing all weekend and he/she doesn't then there could be problems

beautiful girl that loves me (and I her of course ) AND can space on the music just as I can. I found this out at Qontact (6000 peep. party), while resting on a bank and saw hundreds of couples hugging each other, enjoying the music of armin van buuren, lying to each other... before that I didn't mind if a girl would listen to trance or not. Since then I can't imagine a better thing than that, enjoying the music together . Biggest problem however, is finding one. The one that DO go out clubbing and partying have this tendency to don't be my type of girl (they wear LOTS EN LOTS of make up, wax in the hair, you get the point).

therefore, I probably

end up with this
a nice girl that loves me for who I am, accepts my choice of music allthough HATING it herself , listens to the most commercial tunes available, one or 2 times a year she comes (hopefully) along with me to a party, and knows I have to party every now and then else I get depressed... if not...

ABSOLUTE NO-NO-s
A girl that dispites trance AND won't let me enjoy it. not at home, not in a car, not let me go to a party... if this is the case I must have been drunk while getting her

Yeah, there really is nothing better than sitting with that special person at a party and just getting lost in the music. Did that at shitty cow palace on new years eve and it made the night so much more awesome.
