the reason why a roll call thread is started is because it's MUCH more convienent (sp?) to dedicate a new thread for it instead of having everybody continue posting in the same thread over and over. Once a roll call thread is started people ignore the previous thread 99% of the time and it just sinks down. It's also a lot easier to see who's coming to a party in a roll call thread than if it were it one huge thread. I for one, wouldn't wanna tread through 10 pages of "yes, this party will be awesome" just to find out who's coming to the event when I can go to a thread thats 3-5 pages long.

As for reviews; once again, if I missed a party and wanna read reviews I don't want to look for the post in which the reviews started (by this time, about 15 pages would have amassed in this one giant thread). So instead, I just click on the "review" thread and start reading.

Doesn't take a genius to figure this out man
