Ive done all the festivals, and imo the best organised and best music policy is homelands. GC was wicked at lotherton hall and the first SSS, but the rest have been terrible (luckily didnt go last year!). Not doing any this year though, cos they are all ridiculously over priced and ull have better ngiths in clubs for half the price.
And its not all 'prog', get an education in house music. The majority of djs at homelands play proper house and tech-house, just cos it aint trance or funky house doesnt mean they are 'prog' djs. Very few djs these days are playing prog cos of how unfashionable it is.
To the foreing TA's that like music other than trance and u wanna have a fucking amazing party in Engalnd get ur arses over for August bank holiday weekend, Tribal Sessions are doing a proper old skool warehouse party! Gonna be amazing, Tenaglia is apparently booked and they are meant to have an offkey line up.
Failing that do Tribal Gathering.
Obviously if u only like trance, u wont like the above mentioned events, but if u have a wide taste in music like myself, get down for them.

Yes, coz if you like trance you can't possibly appreciate any other form of dance music can you?
Said it once, will say it again. GG has a bit of everything, and a great atmosphere too. If you're too close-minded to enjoy a variety of music then go to Tribal Sessions. If, on the other hand, you'd actually like to have a good time, GG is the festival for you.

Right first off i said if u ONLY like trance music, as in its only kind of music u like, then u obviously wont like Tribal Gathering or the warehouse they are planning cos there wont be any trance.
I myself like trance. Granted i cant stand the majority of it being produced these days, J00F in my eyes is still one of the greatest djs on the planet and i still lsiten to my old pre 99 Oakey and Van Dyk sets lovingly.

Tribal Gathering has a massive variety, it just doesnt have trance! U have tech-house, house, old skool house, prog, funky house, breaks, techno, hip-hop and next year i think we're gonna have a bit of dnb too. Basically Tribal has everything that GG has except for trance and hard house, plus breaks.
Plus the atmosphere at Tribal Gaterhing and the Warehouse is ten times better than u get at festivals. Its a bit more raw, like how it used to be.
Festivals in general are so shit. Soundsystems are crap, loads of scallies(dont even pretend their arent any at GG).
What i was saying that if u like music other than trance, give Tribal Gathering a go. Granted their wont be trance, but it will ne better organised, a better atmosphere and a wider variety of dance music (granted without trance and hard house, but they arent the be all and end all).

I am well aware its trance addict, i DO like trance, never said i didnt. Lots of people on this site dont just solely like trance, but like techno and house as well.
Just check the tracklist board, tracklists from a whole range of djs.
