It will take time, you'll be lonely, but understand that if you really don't see yourself with this person (in the future) then its best to avoid/cut off all contact - the 'friends' business usually comes about with one of the parties wishing the other one will 'come around' and eventually get back together, in the end, you're just delaying your recovery.
Hang in there, listen to trance, go out with friends - and remember that you happiness comes best from within - don't rush into some fling as a means of 'getting back' because you'll just feel worse in the end and it'll be unfair to the other person (if they're not aware of all the baggage you're dealing with).

that is good advice, as much as i don't want to follow it.
