I don't understand the people on this board...
Anyways, I really like G&D. They have their own sound and they have done some great work.
If you have a different opinion, fine, but substantiate it.
Everyone here goes on and on about andain's new track, then they dare criticize the G&D remix? Show some respsect, considering that Josh is responsible for the track in the first place.
And don't tell me their stuff is boring unless you actually know what prog is and listen to it. I understand that a lot of their stuff crosses over between prog and trance... however, if you're one of those people that thinks prog is boring, what right do you have to come here and say G&D suck because their tracks with more of a progressive feel are boring?
For example, I like their grayarea remix... it's creative, but it it is way too fast and the percussion isn't that great. However, it's still an awesome track, and it makes a great release along with grayarea's yewminyst on the flipside.
However, I can't really say I like their dj'ing. I only listened to a bit more than half of their EM (that's all that would fit on my minidisc) and I was definately not impressed. And I had the same opinion with two of their other sets I heard.
But they are still great producers...

Ill saw G&D are good but not gods.....The grayarea remix sucks, so does the Oakenfold remix....very poor....but as the rush comes and the remix of Duncan Shiek are some of the best tracks out atm...

Im not a huge fan of Gabriel & Dresden, but then again I dont particularly like progressive in general, seems a little too 'ambient' and lacklustre for my liking (not enough energy).
They seem like nice people though, so I'm glad they get the support they do from these boards.

Lets face it folks. G&D are talented producers. What sets them apart from the aVg producer is that they have a great style. It mixes Trance elements with Progressive. They dont have the precise production skills and attention to detail as a Hybrid or Charlie May...maybe because they have a massive schedule...so they are pumping out what they can at a competetive speed.
