ok, let me reiterate.
college can be fun and interesting if you enjoy learning. thats what i think. if you liked high school because it was fun and easy, i can see why college, because its a lot harder, might not be as fun. especially since YOU are the one who's accountable for showing up, taking tests, etc. my first quarter, i really fucked up. i skipped class all the time because i could, didnt study much (just like high school), and then was promptly kicked in the ass by my classes. college professors dont care if you make a good grade or not. they dont care if you show up. its all up to you. and if you arent motivated, i can see how that would be a challenge.
i also understand how if you are there to get a major for something you dont like, it could be boring. i guess ive just been lucky that i grew up with computers, work with computers, and want a computer science major. yes, the general university classes are boring as hell and i hate them... but i still like what im learning. i had to take geology last quarter. hated it. but i still think its neat that when i was flying to japan, i could look out my plane and recognize geologic formations, and know what they were called. im taking physics, i hate it. but i think its neat that i know why certain things work now. both were general university requirements. i like learning. and would rather be learning than starting in a low paying job right out of high school. shrug. just depends on your personality i guess, and what you want in life.

I grew up with computers, too and it's one of my most important hobbies. Howerver, I hate stupid core classes I have to take for majoring in CS... there really are useless ones, IMO... ok, you'r gonna say, don't take them... but as u know, it's not that easy... there may be a reason, such as schedule conflicts etc...

guy i got kicked out last November for the same thing... i was smoking too much pot and staying up all night...
what i did was get full-time hours at my job and went there during the day instead of school... i didn't tell my family anything about it , and since i was 18 the school had no obligations other than to say "see you next semester"... and since i don't live with a parent it was easy to keep that charade going, i didn't tell them a thing... i just worked and with all the money i had, did even more drugs... it was nice to all of sudden have that freedom...
but eventually my family found out, and obviously they weren't too pleased but they couldn't really do anything about it... i got pretty down towards the end, being out of school and working full-time takes it's toll on you if you're not used to it... and that was compounded by the fact that i had to dance around my family and be a bastard to them...
but i got through that and just before the new semester started i went on a school trip i had already signed up for to Quebec city and had a blast with my friends there... now i'm back in school and getting 80's, my best marks in a long time and i'm working part time... i've had to cut back on blazing tho... i never thought you could smoke too much pot, boy was i wrong... i'm currently taking a 1 week break from it... this is day 1, wonder how long it'll last...
anyways, keep your head together and try to get back on the right track... i'm just realizing now that it's not worth it to fuck around ,and you should just get shit done while you can... |
weed if fucking up my school right now as we speak, i'm on day 3 of quitting pot untill the end of the semester, after spring break which was 3 weeks ago (yes we have it early) I got a lot of money and spent 300 dollars on pot in the first week alone, i'm taking 16 hours and I only went to 2 classes that first week back, second week back wasn't that great but i made it to a few more classes and then the weekend i was like wtf am i doing, i quit pot and started going to classes agian, speaking of which I need to leave now for class :P
