I can easily name one mix that has PVD mixed by Ferry Corsten it is old(1999) but nevertheless it has PVD:
Ferry Corsten Trance Nation 2 from Disk 1
1. ATB - Don't Stop(X-Cabs Remix)
2. Brainbug - Nightmare (Sinister String Mix)
3. Da Hool - Meet her at the love parade (Nalin & Kane)
4. Lucid - Crazy (Nalin and Kane FDF Red Star Mix)
5. Kalin and Kane - Beachball (Extended Vocal Mix)
6. Greece 2000 - 3 Drives
7. Paul Van Dyk - Avenue
8. Lost Witness - Red Sun Rising(Lange Mix)
9. Agnelli & Nelson - El Niño(Matt Darey)
10. Matt Darey Presents Mash Up - Liberation
11. Armin - Communication
12. Mario Piu - Communication(Mas mix)
13. Rising Star - Touch Me
14. Ayla - Ayla (Veracocha Mix)
15. Binary Finary - 1999(Gouryella Mix)
16. GD - Choral Reef
17. Bedrock - Heaven Scent
18. Hybrid - If I Survive
19. Sasha - Arkham Asylum
Ok now that took awhile to type up, but notice that yes Paul Van Dyk is in this mix by Ferry. So it must just be your imagination

When I saw Armin live, he dropped Tell Me Why and I've got loads of his sets with For an Angel in them.
Best PvD track: Namistai
Anyone who WOULDN'T spin that beauty is crazy.

Armin usually plays "Tell Me Why" and "For an Angel." He also used to play Paul`s remix of Joker Jam.
Yes, i've witnessed it myself at Glow, Armin played For an Angel, crowd went NUTZ...

For instance, I highly doubt Tiesto goes....ahhhh I wonder what people are going to think, I haven't dropped a PVD track in a while, I better drop a PVD track, or vice versa.
Actually that's exactly what he must think. Any multimillion $ industry (like trance) has to have polotics built into it.. especially at the upper eschelons and icons of the genre like Tiesto. I'll bet there's some big time polotics going on as to what he plays, where he plays it and why he plays it. Hell, i'm a nobody as far as being a Dj, but the set i did at a party last weekend, i put a HELL of a lot of thought into and tried to guess how the people there would react to the tunes i played. I can't imagine a successful Dj not doing the same.
As far as why Tiesto shuns PvD productions.. your guess is as good as mine. I liked the conjecture that the styles did not fit each other. But it maybe some kind of record company bullshit. who knows.

PvD definitely spins Tiesto, AVB tracks
Yet Another Day
Sunbirn
Eternity
Obsession
Silence
Flight 643
Elements
Urban Train
Flesh
Endless Wave
Gouryella
Punk
My Dance
etc....
For the most part I do agree that most dj's dont play PvD works b/c of his unique style that dont fit his sets but some of his biggest works were definitely played a lot:
Oakenfold--3/11 TRANCEPORT tracks were PvD works: Rendevous, Binary Finary-1998, Words and he used to play these tracks all the time.
AVB-plays FAA and Tell Me Why often
Digweed--has Words on GU album (back when he spun trance)
Sasha--used to play Namistai, Words and a few other tunes back in the day when he and Diggers were spinning trance.

except why top djs seldom do is that pvd tracks are real fast
normal guys like tiesto and avb plays at lets say 126-130

This is probably part of it. I know I have a hell of a time working in PvD tracks when I mix, because they're significantly faster than most of the others I play. I have to manually ramp up the BPM at some point in order to reach the necessary speed. That I start most sets with some upbeat progressive doesn't help matters.
