Your health card will do at the Guv. I left my DL at home once, and I had no probs. I guess if you look anywhere near underage, they may ask for another, but I never experienced a problem.

They want to make sure everyone has ID, in case something happens to you.

Health card won't do.. Bring something solid. You DON"T want to be stuck out there.. Health card is not a "valid" ID.

If the police storm the guv, and find out that the bouncers let you in without a "valid" id (passport/drivers lic), guv's liquor license gets revoked. That's the real reason.. At least that's what I hear from the bouncers at a couple of other places..

1) Health card is not a valid form of government issued ID. It should only be used for OHIP purposes. If the Guv accepts it, they should not be accepting it. Only doctors offices and hospitals are allowed to accept and record that number.

2) I have the old school, red/white version, with no picture, or date of birth.
