I was actually expecting this trade. They say: Sell when it's hot and the habs did. They needed to get rid of one goalie, they sold the one who was supposed to be a #2 goalie for the price of a #1. We would have gotten nothing for Price. I also have a feeling that we are missing a draft pick in the deal. Unless they think that the Danish prospect can play NHL next year. He will cost us peanuts. i agree for the "wait until the next move" part, but i am more curious for the "wait to see for how much st louis signs him for to see what we would have gotten via compensation for restricted free agents.".
If he signs for over 4 million we would get way more than this trade.
if carey price fucks up next year (like this year), cedric dejardins is not enough to replace halak.
