they trade for Preston Wilson and pick up Mike Stanton

i'm not sure if Preston will be effective since he moves from the thin air of denver to one good pitcher's park

The Nationals are going to fall FLAT on their faces in the second half. Watch... According to The Pythagorean Standings, the Nationals are 8 games over where they should be. Going by runs scored/allowed, this is the NL East:

NL EAST

Atlanta
Florida
NY Mets
Washington
Philadelphia

Preston Wilson has hit .224 away from Coors this year with like 25% of his HR's and RBI's. Ha ha... another human windmill a la Richie Sexson and Adam Dunn, just a poor man's human windmill. Oh yeah, add Mike Cameron to human windmill status.

By the way, I love the sight of Mike Cameron swinging away at the high cheese at around his eyes.

There's a 4 game Yankees/Red Sox series starting tonight, it's kind of got some extra juice to it at the moment with the Yanks 2 1/2 back now. I'm praying for 3 out of 4 but something keeps ringing in my ears about a 2/2 split.

I'm curious to see where A.J. Burnett is gonna end up. I hope he gets into the AL so I get the chance to see another 9 walk no hitter. Just watch out for the car speeding by.....

I have to say I'm rooting for the Nationals too in that division. Go Livan Hernandez, I need ya baby on my fantasy team to keep racking up those wins.

I am the creator and this is my house and in my house there is only house music. But I am not so selfish because once you enter my house it then becomes our house and our house music and you see no one man owns house because house music is a universal language spoke and understood by all. You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you're deep into the vibe of house. House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body and as I told you before this is our house and our house music. In every house you understand, there is a keeper and in this house the keeper is Jack.

Thing is... Dunn/Sexson/Cameron are good human windmills and worth having on nearly any team. Preston Wilson... would be better suited on some farm or seomthing.

And the Braves are going to win it... again.

Braves should win I agree. Hudson is returning this Saturday.

Here's a little Preston talk:

Wilson did have 15 home runs for the Rocks, but -- and didn't you know a "but" was coming -- as with every Rockie, the home/road splits tell the ugly story. Wilson had 10 of his 15 homers at home, got 34 of his 47 RBI there and hit .281 at Coors Field, only .224 on the road. Check out what current Nat Vinny Castilla did last year at Coors and his current underwhelming stats.

But it's even worse than that. Wilson was only hitting left-handed pitching, and there's less of it in the NL East. And ask us how RFK Stadium is for hitters. Go ahead. The Nationals don't score runs, and by this point of the season we know the park can be blamed for some of this. The Park Factor index tells us that only two places are tougher to score in, San Diego and, for some odd reason, Baltimore. Jose Guillen has 18 home runs this season. Only one has come at home. His slugging percentage is .677 on the road, .350 at home.

Ok, back to me. Also, he has struck out 77 times in 267 at bats. That's 1/3.46, not a good sign if you take him away from Colorado. He wasn't even hitting that great in Coors anyway. He does sound like a bum.

n00b... it's too far in advance to tell really... you can guess, but it's not written in stone, especially with the yankees' rotation and their arms

Not even Joe Torre knows at this stage. Yanks have two guys coming off the DL, factor in the the days off, factor in shuffling of things, factor in potential deals, factor in rainouts, ............

Factor in Douche Bag errr I mean Kevin Brown coming off the DL and probably heading right back on it after about 4 innings in his first game back.
