Well one of two things will be on tonites show . Either i will try and dismiss one of trance's music greatest myths , which is that alot of people don't like trance music cause feel there are no lyrics or Mark Lai will be spinning live . Either or ,we will have more of your request along with my regular b.s , so tune in tonite at midnite pacific 90.1 fm or in Red Deer at 1am at www.cjsf.bc.ca

i dunno, this mark lai guy might be a fairy tale like dragons and witches and elves.. then again trance music nobody listens to trance music..
the infamous humming noise originates from the RCA cable that connects the turntable to the mixer. this is also probably the same reason why one of the channels on the turntable dropped halfway through the set.
try to get SFU to buy you guys new cables or bring your own next time. all you need are 2 pairs of 1/4" phono to RCA cables. replace both to be sure that you get rid of that problem.

Actually, I believe it's from the wiring to the phono jacks on the turntable matrix. The right turntable is missing its ground wire, so they soldered the right common wire at the TRS jack to the ground on the preamp underneath. A pair of ground loop isolators between the mixer and the matrix should do the trick.

if you wiggle the RCA, the humming went away at least in our headphones. i'm not sure about the radio stream but if there's still humming in that, then thats probably related to the problem you're refering to.
Well , it seems like he's been milking his leaving Vancouver for quite awhile but tonite is truelly Kris 's last set in this beautifull city in quite some time . hes packing up his records , all his high energy and I think some clothes and driving to Toronto . So tune in tonite and find out some of Mortys highs and lows while he was here and listen in on a high energy 90 min set . CJSF 90.1 or in Toronto www.cjsf.bc.ca
