For once, i applaud Chelski for calling of the Cole chase due to a ridiculously high asking price.

It will be interesting to see how his situation at arsenal develops now since Cole recently stated he will never play for them again.

Maybe Arsenal will punish him with a season in the reserves. Unrealistic perhaps, but that's how clubs seem to do things over here.

Probably but Chelsea have shot themselves in the foot by paying over the odds for pretty much every player that they have bought so now all the clubs are using it against them.

Its expected that you pay a lot more when buying a player from a direct rival and considering they paid 25 million for essien and that to from the french league, it comes as no surprise that everyone wants to hold them to ransom.

I think they will eventually have to lower the price though. Chelsea expect to pay no more than 16 million and a couple more cole outbursts should help their cause.

I will just go back to my point in any chelsea transfer argument:

I'd like to applaud terry getting the england captain title, as a liverpool supporter I wasn't best pleased with it but he's done well so congrats.
Second, nice one signing Cole, Wenger hasn't got a prayer of any title this year imo now, even Henry has said he's trying to push wenger to sign a player or two with potential, as he can't do it all himself.rofl
