So i was just peeing and thinking about life. Not 20 minutes ago I subconsciously hear the phone ringing and ringing. Luckily I had put it in my room this morning, normally i leave it outside so i DONT hear it.

anywho I answer, with a sense of dread. My sister says "Walker?" and i say yes...

she starts crying.

I dont know what you guys would think at 3am, but all I could think of was that she got raped. I was already planning murder. Finally after saying whats wrong she answers.

"I got arrested"

She got nailed for DUI which she does all the time, but this time she blew a .078. Legal limit being .08. The officer made her blow again after a few minutes and she hit .082. Then arrested her. Bullshit. I might be able to get her off the ticket, but im not sure i want to. She does this too often.

Oh yeah, point of story. So i was thinking about the friend I just cut off this Friday as I peed. It was very fitting.

I was thinking "If there were four words that were never truer about someone it would be 'hes being a bitch'"

Why did that bother me so much? Id been friends with "bitches" before. Then I realized what it was. Whenever the going gets rough, he bitches out. Until then hes normal.

and THATS what pisses me off. The lack of character inherent in such a thing.

I hate hanging out with weak people. People who change. I cut them off usually without knowing why until later. Its my human instinct, if there is such a thing, to surround yourself with people who will be good in trouble.

Point of all this:

I think women are looking for character. I think most PEOPLE are looking for character. Most guys will hang out with just about anyone, they usually arent too worried about whether or not theyll be able to have fun drunk with the dudes. Women dont get it that easy.

They cant just get drunk. They have to know you , know you wont do anything, try any shit. And someone who has never for a second changed how they behave is a safe person to be around.

They also have character though. I was thinking how id rather hang out with a total asshole than a bitch like him. And most of my friends (myself included) are considered jerks a lot, because we dont care where we are, we act like we do when we are drunk at 1 am. Making off color jokes, fuckin around, hitting on waitresses humorously..

So think in many ways an asshole is someone who is confident about who they are, doesnt make excuses, and generally has a solid core of character, albeit thinly veiled. At least you know who it is though.

So yeah, theres my deep thought, it felt right when I thought it, it might just be the time though.

People dont like weak people. And there are many forms of weakness. Women are looking for potential mates. Guys dont fuckin care, they just want someone to drink and play video games with.

So next time youre out there think about that. Are you acting differently towards this girl than you would if you were 100% confident she would be your girlfriend if all you had to do was ask?

Self Love.

A lot of people suffer from a lack of this.

Some people think they are nobody and nothing, if there is not a sifnificant other to love them.

You have to love yourself first, and not rely on love from others. Cuz if you can't love yourself, why should anyone else?

The significant other should compliment who you are, not complete who you are, because if that is the case, then you are incomplete to start with.

Minus the part about the "asshole" part. Sure some assholes are confident, hence them being themselves and often considered to be assholes - cuz they won't change for anyone.

But i also think a lot of "assholes" are stupid weak bitches that get off on appearing to be confident and tough. I think there's a flip side to the oh so popular "asshole".

I dunno. I give and get a lot of respect for people who have logical coherent thoughts on issues and things, without necessarily knowing EVERYTHING or even much. Someone who will apply what little they know and try to figure stuff out.

One girl even said it right out "walker, I respect that about you so much" (was debating a guy on how its gay to use body wash for a man, because showers arent supposed to be "me" time its supposed to be a brillo pad and battery acid for men) I asked "what"

and she said "You have so many strong opinions...thats awesome."

its also kind of sad that most people wont debate with you because they think its confrontational or something. Its fun to see who can persuade the other person.

There are just a lot of weak watery little people out there who expect someone to know that they are a nice, charming gentleman who got a degree in ___ from ___ and likes to drink, play soccer, go clubbing, and you have a passion for poetry all from a glance across the room, or a "I dunno" at a bar.

Ive gotten so sick of people side stepping issues, and being wusses about stuff. Its funny, because Ive gotten offers for management at every place I have worked. A no-bullshit/drama attitude does help

I think it just boils down to you have to tell people about yourself. and only by expressing opinions and saying what you think, and trying to have a little spine sometimes (like when someone refutes something or misunderstands it, dont just be silent and continue, address it till its resolved, then move on) is lacking horribly these days.
