The relationship I took seriously from day one, in fact it was Jamie who proclaimed that I was her boyfriend and there's proof to substantiate that claim as well. She got mighty jealous that i'd even spoken Jenny, and basically warned me off her, after giving me some long winded story about how much of a bitch Jenny was after she had done such and such in the past to her/other people.
Where you're getting the idea from that you were "pushed" into episode after episode by me I have no clue whatsoever. Assuming your the mature, respectful woman you aspire to be, you'd have heard of the power of free will, and be able to make decisions for yourself without the need to be pushed into anything, including a relationship with me. The plane ticket that you claim I just suddenly announced out of nowhere was the result of a discussion we'd had probably most nights from January through to March.
We spoke almost every day for nigh on seven months and I visited her in December 2007 and spent New Year with her and friends... met some of her family and happily stayed there for around 10 days, before returning home. We'd then agreed together that I would move over there in March, after I'd initially wanted her to come over to the UK to cement the developing relationship for only a couple of weeks.
In February, I sensed all was not well with Jamie and asked her if everything was ok, to which she replied "Yeah, I'm just not feeling myself but it's a phase and it'll pass." Not wanting to seem pushy, I left it at that, and the phase did seem to pass after a week, with her announcing how desperate she was for me to go over there.
Got there in April and everything went well until I found a flirtatious text from Bobby on her phone about one week in (the only reason I'd even looked at her phone in the first place was because I was looking through movies that she'd recorded of her playing with her dog). I confronted her about it and she'd admitted at that point that she'd only been flirting with him and nothing further happened. I believed her, as I'd have no reason otherwise not to at that juncture, and after an argument or two, we'd decided to try and make a go of the relationship again. At that point, I hadn't even considered installing a keylogger on her computer. Only when I went to check my mail one night, she hadn't logged herself out of her hotmail account and I saw a provocatively entitled email from bobby. Call it curiousity, but I checked it and found out she had slept with him and confronted her again about it. She then confessed all and admitted she wouldn't have come clean about it if she wasn't busted.
The keylogger was a disgusting, and tasteless thing to do and it's the only thing about that whole situation that I regret, because I'd lost any chance of salvaging any sort of friendship with her. It was a shameful invasion of your privacy and I'm sorry. The only thing I'd checked on her computer was her email account, not the conversations she'd had with anyone, not her myspace, facebook, bebo... whatever, and the remote assistance was something i wasn't genuinely aware of when i got home.
I don't hate her for what she's done and at the time I didn't either, I just wish she'd come clean about her feelings to begin with, instead of allowing me to travel 4000 miles and spend a shitload on a plane ticket before only then confessing only after you were prompted Jamie.
This thread really has gotten out of hand. I'd told Chrissi to tone it down a little when she started making the thread a little bit too personal as the abuse you were getting wasn't warranted at the time. Up until the keylogging incident, I treated you with nothing but respect and this is what I get.
You were never going to tell me about the cheating. If you were really trying to sabotage your relationship, you would have told me the first chance you had.
