I've always been amazed at rock climbers upper body strength. They dont look like they would be able to that shit.

I knew I guy when I was in the Marines that was a rock climber before he joined. My one buddy asked him how may pull ups he could do and he said "a lot". We put him to the test and once he reached 40 he says you want me to keep going? He eventually did 60 something.

So beginning Monday here's my new routine:

Workout 1:
Squats 5x5
Bench Press 5x4
Inverted Rows 3xF
Push ups 3xF
Abs

Workout 2:
Squats 5x5
Overheard Press 5x5
Deadlift 1x5
Pullups/Chinups 3xF
Abs

Exercises using weights start with just the barbell at 44lbs and each workout 5lbs are added. This is supposed to be an excellent strength training workout, especially for beginners.

i dunno why, but for some reason i didn't think you were a beginner?

i picked up some 30 lbers today at the sporting goods store. it was funny because i had just donated blood and the chick at the counter saw my bandage and was like, "OMG DON'T LIFT THOSE" and so she had some skinny little 100 lb girl bring them out to my truck. i felt like a tool; but at the same time let it ride. LOL

i haven't been to the gym in a long time so i wanna ease back into it. plus i've always had to work on my strength more than anything else, and i've never done deadlifts before so this is a good way to start.

So, today I decided to subscribe to this peculiar practice that runners seem to have of waving their hand at other runners whenever crossing paths with them. I decided to make a conscious effort to wave at every single runner I encountered today. Here are my observations:

-About half of male runners wave back
-Very few female runners ever wave back, most of those that do give me an uncomfortable smirk
-Of those females who don't wave back, about a quarter seem to gather the impression that I'm going to rape them

This shit is hard core. I can only hold it for maybe 5 seconds, MAYBE! Hell of a workout though.
