Ok, here it is for all you people waiting for the new superclub (yes, I said superclub) Beta to open up! Openining night will be in two weeks on March 7th. Here is a preview and schedules

Will be the first club in North America with the new FUNKTION-ONE Dance Array 4 Speaker Stack System. FUNKTION-ONE is regarded as the premier purveyor of sound in the world and we will be the first club to unveil their new line! And we're not just installing one, but two of these futuristic systems in Beta - one in the main room and one in the Beatport Lounge.
We've taken great lengths to find sonic purity by hiring an acoustical engineer to analyze our space and we've installed more acoustic paneling then Webster Hall to ensure audio perfection.

*Saturday Nights // 21+
BEATPORT PRESENTS
Beta will feature the top international superstar DJ's in the world including the likes of Kaskade, David Guetta, Roger Sanchez, and Gabriel & Dresden. Beatport.com DJ Jonas Temple is the resident DJ.
The music in the Beatport Lounge will compliment the programing of the main room. Residents include Beatport.com DJ's Clark Warner [M-Nus] and local talent Wyatt Earp.

*Friday Nights // 21+
SWEET FRIDAYS
Resident DVDJ Unique from New York will bring his own futuristic style of audiovisual mash-up to Friday nights. You'll believe it when you see and hear it live. Beta will also feature phenomenal talent including DJ A.M., DJ Jazzy Jeff, and DJ Vice.
The Beatport Lounge will feature future sounds spun by Beatport.com DJ's Terry Church [London] and Scott Paradis with occasional special guests.

*Thursday Nights // 18+
TRIAD DRAGONS PRESENT GLOBAL THURSDAYS
Talent includes top performers such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Benny Benassi, Sander Van Doorn, DJ Icey and more. Resident DJ's are Dragon, Trajikk, and Kostas.
The Beatport Lounge will feature mash-up artists from the Klutch Beat Boutique Crew.

well thank fuck for that because both the church and vinyl's sound is poor. i've been to clubs where the funktion one being tuned properly was phenomenal [ice vegas] and where i thought it was subpar [vanguard la]

we can also thank god for the 18+ being on thursday, 21+ on the weekends - 18+ ruined vinyl for me [among other things]

What do you put into your live sets that has made you a dancefloor favorite for the past decade?

I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. This club will own. Finally a worthy soundsystem - but no idea what the whole Surround Sound deal is - since in order to play the tracks using Surround Sound, they must be produced in surround - or otherwsie they sound like crap. And not many produce in surround. I think that is just advertising. But finally a place that has a great lighting system (if that is the case - LASERS???) and be cool to have Kyro - least for the big events - instead of that shitty smoke machine at vinyl that isnt even aimed at the crowd haha. Also the dance floor idea for sound doesnt work. For acoustic panels, you want to pad the walls, every small piece works but needs to be walls or ceiling. Putting them on the floor doesnt do anything really. Glad this place will have a second floor that has a balcony overlooking main floor - all clubs should be setup that way - adds so much more. Cant wait to check this place out. Also would be nice if the outside was club like instead of just a door. Not sure what the building structure is but if its a flat large wall maybe project something on it like Space does. Make it seem like a club.
