fucking a, my ma put her dog to sleep. she has no real money because of the divorce that's going on and the only real companion she had up there was that little cocker spaniel. but she said she did it because she couldn't afford the annual shots, or to even get her to a groomer to get her fur trimmed. or to get special shampoo to help w/ the dog's skin that was getting flaky.

i'm really upset because that dog was the only thing she had left in the condo. her internet, phone, and cable were shut off because my jackass father didn't want to pay for it. so she now doesn't even have the damn dog to talk to anymore.

so now she has a lien w/ the vet, which doesn't make any sense because if she couldn't afford to get any of the stuff for the dog, how does she think she's going to repay this vet/creamatorium bill?

she's going to ask me for money, which i don't really mind. but i would have rathered pay money to help keep the dog alive and healthy than to pay for a euthenasia (sp?) bill.

fuck i just don't know what she's going to do now.

get her a kitten. they're cheaper and easier to take care of than dogs.

well it sounds like she needs something or someone. i turned my gf into a cat person. personality can do wonders.

a budgie or another small bird can do wonders too!

its kinda weird, as a silver lining behind it, she can now stay over at family's places for the night, and not have to worry about letting the dog out or anything.

so my ma just called me - she got a letter from the crematorium, and it turns out that that they aren't going to charge her anything for having Shakes (the dog) put down...since we've been using that vet hospital for 20 years now (out first dog was back when we had originally moved into our first house in 1987). wow.
