Yeah transformers was the shit, awesome action scenes.

Michael Bay/Steven Spielberg camera work was instantly noticeable

i grabbed this film coz it got ridiculously good reviews the world over, and then later on i found out it had a fantasy theme so thought id give it a look.

this is a fairy tale that is dark and disturbing and pretty graphic to boot. lots of squeemish scenes for those of you that are a little bit girly (like yours truly). it was a beautiful looking film, but i was disappointed with the lack of fantasy in the overall narrative. not that the real-world stuff wasn't really good too, but i was kind've expecting more. the backdrop of fascist spain was all well and good, but that's not what i bought the movie for. having said that though, the brutal reality in which this movie exists was great to see, you dont see this stuff very often thats for sure!

a great work of cinema, just a little light on the fairy tale for me.

3.5 fairies out of 5.

Perhaps you had wrong idea about film before you started watching it? It wasnt a fantasy film at all, it had fantasy elements to distract from the shit that the girl was living through.

I really liked it, and it deserves the acclaim it gets.

after watching this movie, the bad news is that imo, the script was poorly written, the plot line was meek (the usual for most action movies), too many overplayed clichés being said by most of the characters, and a blatant marketing attempt by Chevy to promote their line of 2008 cars. the good news is that it was an enjoyable of almost 2 1/2 hours of pure robot fun, people running around, and the fight scene at the end was pretty good.

Agree completely.

My friend and I were spotting the scenes/ideas that appeared to be ripped off from other movies (the matrix, con air, Men In Black) like seriously where was the originality in this flick?

Definitely lots of Michael Bay + Steven Spielberg action as expected so if you want mindless action then it's great. Just don't expect any more.

The finding the cube plot was just ridiculase! Along with some other moments. The CGI transformations for the most part were smooth (like in the air transformation into planes).

Peter Cullen's voice is still as great as ever, brought back so many memories from the opening Prime intro. Too bad Frank Welker didn't do Megatron but Hugo Weaving did well.

Of course Megan Fox helped keep me interested also

Oh and the soundtrack suited the action well. Ain't no Stan Bush but served its purpose well.

Saw transformers last night in the comfort of the Directors Suite at Melbourne Central Very swanky.

I have to start off by saying that chick was the most terrible actress I have ever had the displeasure of watching! I agree there were a few too many cliches and a bit too much childish humour but in the end the special effects and action had me pretty much glued to the screen

Optimus Prime is such a fuckin dude!

Cant wait for Simpsons and Harry Potter

I dont think that Harry Potter is "childish" as such. I am talking about all the silly "more than meets the eye" jokes etc. Trying to be cool but it fell a little short.

Why am I answering you anyway!

I have a tshirt I bought for you in Thailand PKC. I will send it to you but you have to send us a photo of you in it!
