umm I am AWARE that they did very well in the "tournament", thats doesnt mean they cant be sad for losing the "game." It was important to them, and they probably felt an immediate sense of failure and sadness.

You have to remember this was RIGHT after an intense, sudden death, uber important game.....not days later when the emotions have settled and they have time to adjust to the fact that they actually did quite well!

Sheesh. Harsh, harsh, harsh! They are humans, and acting naturally. They were not disrespectful, nor did they lose their dignity.

Well, I know it's almost 15 minutes past now, but I just got in from celebrating.

Happy Saint Crosby Day everyone!

I personaly don't care what the Americans looked like while getting their medals.
Team Canada won and that is all that matters!

Amazing performance by all our athletes.

That's not disrespectful? Try telling that to a country who didn't win any medals at all; let alone a silver.

Dem hoes' be bitter.

Dumb ass. Its not like a race, its a TOURNAMENT. You lose the game in order to WIN the silver in a tourney. Americans are proud to have made it that far and certainly WON the silver. Doesnt make them less upset directly after the GAME they lost was over Im sure it sucks!

Let me say it slower: HAPPY = TOURNAMENT, SAD = GAME

and if what you are saying holds truth, then this whole thread of comments you are technically arguing, as most people in this thread have gone on and on about how important GOLD's are, and how silvers are "first losers."

Where were you on all of those comments Just passed right by those one's, huh?

On that note, these games have been awesome. Vancouver is beautiful, and I am certainly tempted to visit now. STUNNING! Canada: amazing games, great athletes, and very very awesome that you can laugh at yourselves as well

I would have to believe that the only part of this Olympics that sucked is the weather and this thread, half-full of idiots

A good portion of the world thinks we're assholes for our tactics in regards to these game. It's about effin' time if you ask me. I think it sends a message that perhaps the external perception of Canadian's in the past may have been slightly unrepresentative of who we actually are.
