Egg whites are the purist form of protein known to man!

Took in 198g of protein today, which is probably too much but whatever.

the yolk also contains approximatley your daily maximum cholesterol intake per day in a single egg.

so yeah, its not healthy for those prone to cholesterol problems.

You're looking at it wrong. Less than 2g of that is saturated fat. The rest is good fat, the same you get in Avocados and other healthy foods.

In other words, fat that you actually should be eating, not avoiding. In recent years, most good nutritionists have started to recommend eating whole eggs, not just the whites for this particular reason. The yolk also contains Omega 3's (in good eggs).

Yes the cholesterol is relatively high but it shouldn't be an issue for anyone that exercises regularly. Dietary cholesterol only makes up about a 1/4 of cholesterol in the body too so the impact on overall, long term health is still being studied and debated.

I talk about cholesterol for a living, every single weekday. I'm aware of what foods are good and bad for you.

Naturally yes. Otherwise, Whey Protein Isolate is the purest.

ok so a little update and my word.

So today I weighed myself from last time i posted a photo in september (theresa was pattin her cooter singin old italian folk songs to it). I have lost 10 pounds. I am 205 right now. Which is wayyy heavier then I usually am. I began running on my broken knee lats week. I have been runnign everyday for 15 mins on the treadmill before my workout. I however unfortunately stopped spinning class but will be resuming it tommorrow.

Now I'm not sure if you remember what I said in september but i remember saying I was going to continue with lifting heavy weights until the new year, and then hopefully my knee would be good enough to do some cardio by then and I would concentrate on slimming down. Well the New Year is here and I feel like a fat pig. Im bulky but I miss seeing my abs and I miss being ripped. So tommorrow i am starting my Insanity training. hahah I downloaded Insanity and I'm going to try out the program for the next 2 months. I dont think I can physically do all the exercises just yet...but thats fine Im going to do what I can do and try to get my weight down. I will continue with my regular weight training and knee rehab but I will be throwing insanity into my daily routine in the mornings for 45 mins.

Tomm I will start with day 1 and I will take pictures of my fat self for your enjoyment and for comedy purposes. I just ask you all be kind.

my goals are:
1) to lose 20 pounds and get back to my regular weight of 185.
2) be able to do every exercise in the program without being in pain
3) to get back to bangin 3 girls a month
4) somehow grow back my hair
5) for all my ex gfs to call me back when im drunk dialing crying, practiing karate on the roof of my highschool.
6) to challenge nou to a cage fight and win!

Switch to water, (water w/ a slice of lemon if you wanna change it up), coffee with little to no sugar, etc. Give it 2 weeks and you'll feel like a different person. I can tell you this from personal experience. Oh and this also goes for all those juices they sell too. It's all evil lol

ah juice is the devil, liquid sugar.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

An egg yolk contains no less than 19 vitamins and minerals. So I would say that 1-4 whole eggs a day would make the yolk healthier. If you consume more than that, the cholesterol and saturated fat issues would then make the yolk cause you some problems.

And as for sugar, i'm not sure how 20 mg/day of sugar thing came into that guys head. The RDI is like 40 grams or something.

Thanks DancingMonkey. It's nice to see that there's at least a few educated people left in the world.

I weighed myself last night and am still 100kg, on the dot. After a week of overindulging and lack of proper exercise, I haven't put on any weight. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeexcellent

So thinking that yolks were less healthy than whites make me uneducated? Please. DancingMonkey just said that over 4 egg yolks a day would cause some problems. How about 4 egg whites, Fledz? Which is healthier?

yolks are less healthy then whites. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot and uneducated.

Average intake of cholesterol per day should be about 250 mg

1 large egg with yolk contains 237 mg

http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts...-products/111/2

(change it to 1 large egg)

egg white, 0 cholesterol

http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/112/2

end of discussion.

You're oversimplifying things and clearly have no understanding of how cholesterol is synthesised and its impacts in the human body. A high amount of saturated fats causes more LDL-c to be produced. A cholesterol rating means shit fuck all. Nobody looks at cholesterol RDI, nobody. You look at intake of saturated/unsaturated fats, carbohydrate and fibre intake, and you break cholesterol into HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and monitor those. Total cholesterol level measuring is an older method that is dying off.

The average Australian eats around 2-3 eggs a week, nowhere near enough to cause harm and I doubt it's much different in the US.
Also as has been mentioned, egg yolks have an amazing amount of vitamins and other nutrients which when paired with the high protein content of the whites makes them an ideal food source.
Let's not forget we're talking about the general population here too, but it's important to note that even patients on a low cholesterol diet still more often than not eat a normal serving of eggs. Recommended to them by their specialist. Why is that? Oh I know, because they actually listen to people who have medical degrees and years of experience, rather than your average hack at the gym or the latest qualified magazine writer that writes something provocative to sell a few extra copies.

There's also been some research done to show that egg whites can actually work synergisticaly with egg yolks to produce a positive impact on the human body.

We haven't even got to the fact yet that around 75% of the cholesterol in your body is synthesised in the liver and only around 25% is absorbed in the intestines. This has a dramatic impact on how food actually affects your cholesterol levels in the short and long term.

I may present a slight amount of bias towards the treatment of cholesterol since I work for a pharmaceutical company, but my knowledge of prevention and treatment is higher than your average Joe. It is my job after all to be a specialist in the area and provide doctors with a proper, educated view on the subject matter and act as a consultant when required.
Unless of course you're one of those idiots that thinks we make people sick on purpose so we can make more money off them

Oh and "end of discussion"? Really? Pathetic.
