The term bootleg means to reproduce/produce/sell illegally without authorization/licence.
In this context a bootleg remix for instance refers to a remix that is not licenced/signed to a record label.
But nontheless dj's circulate it/promote it on their shows.

So does that mean if I grab a Tiesto Song, Remix it. ANd play it in my local clubs... I'm bootlegging, and am doing somethign which is illegal?
