Well no. I was a student, the time of your life just after you're set free to do ill-advised things like live off junk-food, and just before you learn that there's a reason you were never allowed to do them as a kid.
It's a bad idea for your overall health and it's pretty bad for maintaining lean muscle mass too, but the basic point is that you can completely ignore fat content in food and still lose weight. You can create a calorific deficit just by counting calories.

Its too bad Einstein isn't alive, you would have given him a good run for his money.
And isn't it easier to do this by avoiding fatty foods since they essentially contain the most calories?

Not necessarily, because fatty foods are better than carby ones at keeping people sated. They are richer and take longer to digest and process, which means that you're less likely to just go back and gobble down more a couple hours later.
Although protein-rich foods are the best of all for this purpose.

Lol I've been lifting weights and shit don't know about the diet.
I eat a handful of food every 2 hours, which usually consists of 80 % protein (usually mince meat, 7 % in fat or 100 g of cottage cheese), 20 % carbs (pasta or bread). I'll drop the carbs if I feel like it.
I use this whenever I have to lose weight. Lost 28 kg with it 5 years ago.

No! It's exactly as fucking easy no matter what foods you eat, as long as you know the calorific content of that food. How many fucking times do I have to repeat this to you Karim? Whether you're eating salad or pizza, as long as you can add up it's exactly as easy to maintain a calorific deficit. Exactly as fucking easy.

Sure they are richer, but when you consume them, the quantity is less. Im pretty sure people dont get fat on just eating shrimp and eggs, it probably has alot more to do with the fudgecakes and icecream.
look at the % calories from fat in any fast food, they outweigh carbs and proteins by a good margin.

People suck at controlling their food intake no matter what they eat. Evolution designed us to be good at gorging, not dieting.

good luck with your 2 icecreams a day to meet caloric requirement. I'm sure it will be successful and keep you satiated throughout the day.

and with regards to the article on the eggs, i must regress and retract my incorrect statement on saturated fats. The LDL does infact come from the saturated fat in the eggs, albeit a high concentration of it.

I did it. You'll actually find there are thousands of stick-thin people in the world who live off junk food, to the baffled jealousy of their overweight friends. Generally the charge levelled against them is that they have a "fast metabolism", when you'll actually find that most of them simply don't eat very much or very often.
I'm starting to believe you think that people's appetite is sated entirely by bulk mass of food in their stomach.
