If you just want legible and easy to use, black/dark background, light text (and no graphics behind that text) is the easiest to live with. Might not be the most stunning of websites but at least people looking at it don't feel like they've been eye gouged.

Yeah, the best thing about short hair is its low maintenance: because my hair is curly, any "disturbance" is enough to make it look funny for the rest of the day. But, on the other hand, girls (my girlfriend included) like my locks
