Damn, I was all excited that Fischerspooner is coming back, but it turns out that it's only for a deejay set.

Can't say I am a big dj dan fan either, but I might go. What are the Open Studios like?

Open Studios: The venue is actually pretty nice & clean, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they usually close a bit later than usual (4?) as well. It's a good size, not too big, not too small.. and the ceilings are pretty high (not claustrophobic). My only complaint is the shower curtains used as bathroom doors.

Has anyone been to Gossip ever since it changed from Plush? Is it still the same (cavernous, bad sound, cold)? Or have they done any upgrades?

I haven't been to Gossip yet but from comments it sounds like it's still same ol' Plush.

that photo makes it look bigger than it is (imo).
think old school underground loft party styles.
it gets sweaty in there.

It does get pretty sweaty in there. But the high ceilings make it less like a basmenet party (ie it ain't like the Lotus). It's basically a garage, which makes sense, as it's right behind Ralph's.

Overall a good intimate venue. I would choose to go here than any event on the Granville strip.
