hey lew.d just had a listen to it, sounding pretty good so far.. has that rolling arp ala fictivision style.. the synths themselves sound a little 'digital' at this stage.. maybe a bit of tweaking of the good ol' knobs wouldn't hurt
the structure is quite nice i like it, so just minor qualms else thats a killer sample so far.
heh, my return was inevitable marsh. looking forward to hearing what you think
thanks having a listen and for the comments dave. will have a look at addressing the 'digital' sounding synths.
cheers

Yeh man- really nice! It has your trademark summer-ish swell pads & warm bass drone, a really nice (quite un-cliched) progression, and the arp is quite delicious as dave said. For the sound of the melody, I reckon nothing does justice to ping-pong delay like a saw wave pluck! (that could be the cliche comin out tho). The melody of it goes really well with the progression when it swells up, but the swell is just in time- any longer and the melody would start to lose appeal i think.. but it works so well all together!! Good shiat!

no expert mang, sounds alrite, personally with that first sorta bell synth that comes in on the break i would probably ease it out as the pads and the other synths come in, or not intorduce it at all or something..kinda feels a little overbearing and floppy. (maybe as dave said a bit of tweakage.)
but yer i know nothing really.
sounds pretty kewl but...wouldna written anything if i didnt like it
wow... stoked with the comments. thanks a million for having a listen and the comments guys.
marsh: glad to see i have a trademark heh, even if i dont really produce trance anymore
JPL: yeah when listening to it again the bell does seem to really drag on... i've slowly filtered it out as the pads swell and it's sounding good, great advice, thanks mate.
dj_ballistic: thanks for the positive comment .. it's shit like that'll encourage me to finish this bad boy.
thanks again champpsss

at the moment it's pretty empty, just the basic main idea is laid down buti'm pretty happy with her so far.
if any of you addicts have any other ideas, crits please let me know, it would be very welcomed.
my god... this sounds fantastic... its great uplifting, without being cheesey uplifting.. coming from someone who has recently been converted to more melodic/proggy sounds.. you have my full thumbs up for what its worth..
very fictivisionish, and assuming the rest of it is as quality, you should definately send along to In Trance We Trust.
this is awesome and i cannot wait for the final product!!!!
