Larry has his feet planted firmly on the ground when it comes to the old and the new, trying to incorporate that into his music. After spending some time working on solo productions and remixes, Larry teamed up with Pier Bucci while in town for a gig. The end result; The Rocky Mountains EP on the infamous Vancouver/Berlin transplant label, Wagon Repair. The new duo is called Glacier, due to the fact the whole EP was recorded at his cabin on St Mary's Glacier. The two continue to work when they can be together, or via the web, but watch out for upcoming projects. Currently getting inspiration from DJ's like Craig Richards, Chris Milo, Michael Mayer, and Bill Patrick, Larry Ursini is all about pushing the records you may not know, but really enjoy shaking your ass to. Minimal is changing, and the people who are really invested are moving forward. Who knows where it will go, but if your after quality and not chart toppers, you might want to check Larry out.

I agree about 70-80% of that line up doesnt appeal to me and a lot of people. And I definetly hate that everything is now on the terrace or loft.

The terrace is more of an afterhours experience not dark dark dark style like most of the artist that are coming through.

This week is a particularly exciting one for the Swerve ranks. After a careful gestation period, from a mere concept of a bi-weekly - naming, artwork, lineup, promotion - Swerve has finally come alive!

On Friday, July 24th our summer series at the 'Cafe' reaches a peak point with a marquee party featuring two artists of undeniable pedigree, whose take on house and techno is precisely their own. From deep, dubby, to weird and twisted - these DJs both will show you how far the 'rabbithole' really goes.

Bob Skies (Hallucination) and Craig Heneveld (I-TALvibrations) are a pair of the Bays finest dance music exports. Together they bring a combined knowledge of deck experience, production mayhem, and crowd control illumination. On this biggest of weekends, we couldn't think of two better masters of ceremony, to thank all who have helped us make Swerve what it is today.
