I don't think there's anything cheap about those wheels. They look like bespoke BBS units.
Also, if you try to cheap out with a single hub conversion, that's risky from a safety perspective and imho takes away from the quality of an otherwise hot car. If you're gonna do it to the tits, don't cut corners.
After looking at it again, I'm more convinced it's a chop. The backspacing on those wheels is really deep, and if he used an adapter plate it would only force the hub centre out further. Also, if he used proper track car hub assemblies and control arms, they would be wide-track units for racing and therefore those wheels wouldn't tuck into the stock arches like that.
But now I'm just being a picky geek
Note the lack of deep dish on the factory DTM car equipped with single bolt hubs:
I wasn't meaning cheap in quality, I meant cheap in cost. I am not a fan of not doing things properly. Do it right or don't do it is my motto for car stuff.

No worries, I apologize if my "cheap" comment sounded like it was in your direction.

Harlequin Golf. Ive seen a few in stock form but there are only a couple that are modded. At least that show up on the net and local shows.

a W12 Lupo?? Or is that a v6 front and rear (vv )? its a quick lupo anyway. I really will do something like this if I ever get free time. Infact a W12 single engine conversion may not be as expensive as first thought, they used the W12 in the VW Phaeton, basically a cheap bentley. If you can find a crashed one (Probably not) im sure it could be bought at value.
Weight gonna be and issue on a we car. Either that or a motorbiked smart or mini. Great Fu, ahhhh the fun
That we thing is a fucking animal

It was awesome. Same wheels/hubcaps too. Now, imagine it in cherry red. Hahaha.
