Very strong views on religion

I am christian

attend church just about every sunday...it's rare that I miss church.

I believe in God, but church only wants more and more $!

I know I'm always gonna be culturally catholic (I grew up in the world's largest catholic country and my family is very religious), but the religion was slowly destroying me and I eventually ditched it. I started to study about other religions, such as Buddhism, and I feel I became stronger, happier and more mature now.

I don't know what I am, but I couldn't care less about "labels"... all I know is that I'm trying to live a correct life, and I believe there can't be anything wrong with it

btw i studied with a buddhist monk who had fled Tibet and teaches in Ameria now. This guy was awesome. basically i came away with the feeling, and he helped me reach this point, that buddhism taoism, etc...in no way conflict with theistic religions such as christianty. they are like the philosophy of living your life and the theism is telling you why...i think its a great combination, and people could learn a lot from such readings
