a) Jump (like Jan Wayne)and Dance are the most mainstream electronic music out there.

b) Hardstyle didn't wreck the scene, people did, as they always do. The only problem with hardstyle is, that it's getting to popular for it's own good and to many people produce it, as an effect most releases are crap and as a bonus it are these releases on which people build their views on hardstyle and not to forget by the actions of certain group of peeps.

PS: Dana isn't that good, she just happen to be famous.

I am just noticing that most of you are mentioning alot of tracid trax stuff in the hardstyle category... I mean Kai HATES hardstyle and would never let it be produced under his baby label... As a supremo fan of the hard trance genre and not much of a lover of the hardstyle area there is a rather large difference between the sounds... I mean if someone asks for a Hardstyle track i would tell them to go look at the repedative headbang against a wall shit released by Luna, Deepack or basically anything on Blutonium.

Not the masterpeice acids and hard trance's that is brought out by tracid

Appart from the massive propaganda for Tracid Traxx you have a valid point. On the site of Tracid Traxx there was once even a whole rant by Kai about the fact that Hardstyle was a rip-off from what his label was doing. Yet Warmduscher has performed at Shockers where he played stuff like "Chainsaw" ( made by DJ Shredda) and other tracks released as hardstyle.

And most of Luna's own productions are indeed rather meek, but his sets are simply massive imo.

Yea true that... Warmdusher is a strange fellow tho to say the least and prob my least fav of all Tracid released DJs it does not mean that he cant play what he wants to of course...(even tho I am fucked if i know why anyone would play chainsaw...Uch).

It was just simply getting too me that people bundled up everything that can be considered hard and called it hardstyle, when it is infact a style all of its own and there was mentions of things released on Tracid... Tis kinda like how mainstream sees everything electronic as being "Techno" But not as bad... You get my drift tho.

LOL yoji is not hardstyle you blithering idiot

with regards to tracid traxxx, yes kai was annoyed about hardstyle slightly recylcing his sound, which i guess is true to a certain extent, but this was the reason warmduscher set up fakten records i believe.

personally i like to drop a few TTX rels in a hardstyle set, usually B-sides and smoe of the older stuff. but thats just me, i dont like to loiter around just hardstyle, my sets are usually a lot more intersting. i like to start with pitched up pounding techno, venture into the harder/darker acid trance, then acid induced techno, the n into hardstyle, but not like the tracks youll hear dana playing etc [jumpstyle?] i keep it strictly hard and dark.

believe it or not, it all goes down very well, tried and tested

Hahaha! The funniest thing is....Kai Tracid produces almost all the Warmduscher tracks... Warmduscher 'self' is a fat dude who only appears at the liveacts.

Derb is the best Tracid Traxxx artist by far. I think Kai is kinda lost it with 'Concious' (that is a sucky song)...if you compare that with 'Voyager' or 'Destiny's Path'.

Although during Sensation 2003 (which I had the great pleasure to be there) people were bitching at Kai for having the wrong music on the wrong place because he was programmed between hardstyle and hardcoremusic-related-artists (Darkraver & Dana) and he played more hardtrance/acid-related stuff.....but secretly everybody knew that he had the best set and technically he is far better skilled than the two named above.

Eh? That's industrial hardcore. Both X-Es and Catscan spit on hardstyle, actually, as it's the most commercial EDM genre on earth.

Dana is the biggest joke to dance music. Her days of 'Lady Dana' when she spun and produced industrial/mainstyle hardcore was laughable. She did nothing original and just copied Promo's sound. Eventually she sold out to hardstyle, complaining that the newstyle hardcore was to dark, yet she produced it. During her hardstyle days she produced some of the cheesiest tracks on the planet I have ever heard. She can't mix for shit, either. I guess only kids like her 'music' though. Just about every old hardcore DJ, or at least the majority of The Dreamteam sold out to this shitty, commercial, money-hungry genre. :[

Personally, though, I used to love hardstyle, but back in 2001/2002 when it was semi-original and didn't rip off every hardcore track between 92-98, mostly the ones featured on the Thunderdome cd's. I can't really reccommend much, as I completly forget the names. Just stay away from DJ Pila, DJ Pavo, Dana, DJ Isaac, The Prophet, and Technoboy, as they're nothing but greedy money loving bastards. Check out shit from Deepack, DHHD, Mindcontroller, DJ Luna etc. Luna is one of my fav's, as he manages to spin banging techno in his sets, and perfectly transition them into hardstyle.
