anyways, back to the movie...... I didn't really like it. first of all, too many civics... don't get me wrong, some civics are really nice and stuff, but the ones I remember from the movie had high-pitched "whiny" sounds.. I prefer the low deep rumbling sound ones.... i dunno hard to explain. Anyways, the movie was better than 'gone in 60 seconds'. Civics are commuter cars, in my opinion, so I really wouldn't spend the time and money to fix up a Civic.
can a fixed up Supra really beat a Ferrari (or Lamborghgini..... i forget which one it was) like Paul Walker did? I don't know much about mod'ed cars, but kinda hard to believe... but I geuss car + mods could cost more than the ferrari itself so..... i wouldn't know.
I gues I was expecting a GREAT movie, but I was disappointed in the car selection because in my opinion they could have chosen a greater variety of cars to "Show off" rather than Civics... I agree the S2000, Skyline, and Supra added much to the movie because those are cars you don't see that often.
Bottom line: movie could have been better... I was disappointed after I saw it. |
well considering the supra is 650HP dyno tested i think. it runs 0-60 mph in 4 seconds and 11 seconds in the 1/4 mile. all that without the NOS yet so yeah i think it could kill that ferrari with ease.
there wasn't too much civics...i only remember 3 which did the hijacking. as for the others you see... i mean how much screen time did those have??? anyway civics are cool....respect it....

Sorry to bring back old thread
Yeah I'm sorry to bring back an old old thread, but I was just searching the net and happened to see this from a search returned on google... Wow honestly I dunno wtf you guys are thinking but this was the worst movie ever made, the sequal was equally bad, and the third one is going to be even worse. Plus this movie has caused alot of deaths because dumb people see the shit that they do in it and decide "Hey I wanna street race my POS Honda Civic, even though I can't drive worth shit, it's an automatic, and theres traffic everywhere!" Also for future refrence NONE of those cars were at all fast. That Eclipse was a none turbo which means it has the same engine as the Dodge Neon (that engine being the 420A). Sorry but my BPU S13 would romp the hell out of that car. And damn that poor poor RX7, I wonder how many engines they blew while filming the movie. The Poopra didn't deserve to be in the movie, they're not but dyno queens for the most part. Nothing beats running a 12.56 @ 165mph, right? And wow I bet you felt real bad ass when you did a burn out in the parking lot. I remember when the 2nd one came out I was driving through the parking lot and there was nothing but rice in front of it. All these guys with the ugliest fuckin Hondas, 240SX's, Probes, you name it, just body kits galore.
But like I said, sorry to bring back such an old old topic, I just had to get my $.02 in on this lol.

if that's the case piss off
But I'd have to agree, fast and the furious and its sequel are the worst movies ever made. As a matter of fact, anything which has vin diesel in it blew chunks so far |
Nope I am. actually ment to say the only reason I registered is because I like trance, but deleted it by mistake!
