my opinion on this is, if it's good in my ears then it's good. you can call it cheesy if you want, i don't care. i've bought lasgo & ivd singles, i liked the song and i bought it.

i agree what aloep said earlier, when it comes to some of the belgian & dutch "cheese"/commercial dance music, it's better than the stuff that comes out from germany & the uk.

I remember I used to love Lasgo, but actually the compilation/tune that got me into trance was Tiesto - Theme From Norefjell/Magik Six. But it was after this I started to listen to Lasgo.

So what i'm trying to say is that there is not necessarily a development. Or, there is, but a development doesn't necessarily make you stop listening to other types of music. I still have a peek listen to a Lasgo song now and then... but I have enough knowledge/experience to say that Lasgo isn't anywhere close to what Tiesto, Armin and so on spin/produce.

My point is: I think the most important thing isn't what you listen to, but that you know what kind of music it is and what kind of status it has.

im glad aloep replied to this thread, he seems one of the only level headed people on this board. if it wasnt for the likes of you mate, id go insane

What about Pronti & Kalamani (who remixed janeiro last year), do you commercial bashers consider them cheese? i thought they did a dam good remix, but i reckon you guys will oppose this opinion once you see who they also produce under..

a great tune to check out aswell..

DJ Sammy - Appalachian Fall

and dont forget armin played DJ Sammy - Sunlight on asot numerous times. that pulser remix was quite phat mind you!

I assume you mean Alice Deejay...

TBH as far as Cheese goes I dont think Lasgo are all that bad. I must say I dont like the majority of there tunes but I loved the vocals on 'Something' and Surrender is not that bad either.
I think people worry too much about what is and isn't 'Cool' to listen to. I think a large majority of us (myself included)Would never have been drawn into the trance scene had it not been for cheese played on the radio. I mean seriously, some people here need to really lighten up instead of being so protective and uptight about their favourite producers.

Cheers.

Having heard the track now, I did like it upon my first few listens but it grew old rather quickly. I like her singing, but the track, while being relatively well produced, is rather bland. Still, it aint bad and is better than most chart oriented music but I think Milk Inc's latest single, "The Sun Always Shines On TV" is a much better example of commercial dance music done well.
