What is Funny is that a foreigner going INTO Germany may hold dual Citizenships. Yet, where I, a German Citizen living outside of Germany, am not allowed to have Dual citizenship. I am sticking to my German Citizenship and have absoloutely no intentions of becoming a Canadian Citizen, not because I don't like the country but because of the fact how much money my family had to pay just to become landed immigrants. I Don;t wanna give the Gov anymore money than I need to.

The only problem with Canada and all this multiculturalism, is that if something was to happen to Canada(ie. war), there'd be nobody here to defend it. Why do most immigrants(including myself) still have dual(or in my case even triple) citizenship?? So that in case something doesn't work out here, they can go home.

LOL, well everybody has their own reasons, i dont negate them though..

i think holding a Dual nationality would be awesome, i dont think i will pay more to the govt by becoming a citizen though, you can give up your citizenship at a later time of frame if you wish also. i pay enough taxes as a immigrant also, as any other canadian, so for me in reality it wouldnt make much of a diffrence whether i did or did not become a citizen

Heck i got a refund check on my taxes for 1400$ which i overpayed.

nobody wants to give money to anybody in todays world, but i think in order to support what the govt is giving back to us, its really something no other country i have seen has offered, for eg:health insurance, unemployment insurance etc.

Hm.. I'm not sure what money you are talking about. Immigrating to Canada doesn't cost all that much money. It costs a lot if you hire a lawyer, but then it's your lawyer who gets most of the money, not Canadian government. Also, becoming a Canadian citizen it's all that expensive.. As far as I can remember it's around $750.
