i downloaded his tracks just to judge for myself....honestly, the guy has talent but structurally, the tracks are pretty weak because they sound too obviously American trying to emulate the European ethos. it doesn't work that way and the result comes out being forced and artificial. they are somewhat disconnected from a cultural plethora. he needs to develop an individual, mature and unique sound. just like bt or gabriel and dresden did to be accepted as legitimate players in the dance music world of Europe. just my 2 cents...

Look at you kids talking smack

I dont know Thomas Datt personally, but his remixes/productions just awesome.

His remix of eternal.....I like the original, but he made it better than the original.

When I was young, my mom made me play the piano and I mastered Bach, and the way I see it. Thomas Datt is talented.

End of his discussion

Have you seen half of the fucking euro dj's? They all look like a flaming pile of gay.

hey those of you saying his tracks suck-

i'll just help him out cause i dont blame him for wanting to stay away from a thread like this. i dont even know the guy. but a while back, i was confused because i heard some shit of his i really liked and then i heard other shit that was just way too amateur. well, turns out, a lot of the tracks available to download are his old shit. like i downloaded a remix of the eternal which sucks, but this is not what is signed to vandit. THAT remix is actually a quality remix, but its not available to download. i heard edgar v spin it and it was awesome.

his production is actually nice, and probably getting better and better. some of the tracks being shared are totally crap which is understable for a learning process, everyone starts at the beginning. so some of you that thinks his music really sucks, im guessing you might have some old tracks that are not even to be listened to.

(this is what he explained to me when i posted about his eternal remix and why the one i downloaded sucked, and the other actually rocked the club hehe)

this is an incredibly stupid post.

criticizing music for "trying to sound european" is also incredibly stupid. electronic music should not be fucking identified with a region. music has qualities of its own to go by. labelling with continents or countries is completely retarded and not justified.
