Seriously i wouldn't get bored of it if it is dat damn good. I've been listening to Marmion's Schoneberg for about a dozen of years from now. If you are a tech-house/techno hardcore fan, you will understand. You may be hearing Heiko Laux's Sense Fiction over and over again for the gigs he spin It really makes no difference from most of the other tracks from either Ellen Allien or Dj Rush or Andrew Wooden. Ok maybe theres a little difference to some of you. But a style is still a style, it will follow its natural elements, you like it, you like it forever. Its my opinion.

About the PVD Bashing, Count me out. I like his style of music selection. Same synthlines, basstones and other basic elements. Its just like illustrating a pieace of artwork. Stick to your own style so ppl can reconize it easily.

A dj's style is what defines them as a dj at least PARTLY. The other thing that defines them as a dj is track selection and mixing (OBVIOUSLY). Tell Mauro Picotto to stop spinning the same techno tracks? Or James Holden to stop using the same tracks with the rolling bassline that he love so much. Or Sasha with his melodic atmospheric beautiful progressive music. You can't do it because then that dj wouldn't be doing what made you like them to begin with.

That is why John OO Fleming is so awesome, he specifically tries to never repeat his sets when he plays gigs, that way you keep the fans on their toes as to what is going to be heard on the next track in the club. Unless PVD ditches his entire laptop and goes oldschool or plays selections from other artists, what is he to do. I don't mind hearing ATRC or NBY as long as it is blended into the set properly instead of listening to it as if it was off his CD, by this I mean have some of his earlier album songs sandwiched between them.

most of the songs he plays, i have liked for a while and was excited about when i first heard them. but it is unlike pvd to repeatedly play the same entire bunch, and thats why people like me are sick of it.

LMAO @ this thread!

Before the DJ Mag results came in all of you were like "PvD is #1!", "PvD is God!", "PvD is a fucking amazing producer!". Now he doesn't win and you begin to realize why.

I guess it's time for most of you to jump OFF the bandwagon. It's about damn time.

well, one of us ******s, still things he is amazing. that doesnt mean one is blind to the obvious truth that he has not been mixing it up for a couple months. he will come around, and blow everyone away all over again... its just a matter of when he sacks the playlist. i went to see him twice in august, and im going to do it again this month.

as for you, you don't need to be blown away. u stay on your top quality production from dumonde bandwagon. you'll be happy there.
