Same par quality with Armin...better even.

LOL well i gotta defend him...

I for one like his Dj skills...but when everyone says different what can be done.

BUT then it comes down to the situation of production skills...sorry but Darey is better IMO (no biasness included, seriously )

Dude, it's HARDER to mix on cd than vinyl!! I find with vinyl no problems, but with cdj's I sometimes struggle a bit..

despite being a big fan of mr darey's work, fridays performance made me think he may be past his prime. The set had no flow at all, and going all sublime in the middle really killed things. the mixing was at best average, he was depending on anthmes to make things happen.
the sound sucked big time, it cannot be that hard to retune a system to a pretty standard mixer for the odd change. often you couldn't even make out the kicks from the rumbling of the distorted bass.

Please explain. Digital doesn't wobble like 1200's (or analogue) decks do, which makes them a hell of a lot easier to use. Add to that, when touching up with the pitch fader, you can SEE where u were and where u're going with a digital reprisentation.

When i said its easy to get up there and mix 99 anthems from CD, i meant its easy to get them on CD, any one can get them off the net.

And well yea he has some good productions, especially stuff like Li Kwan, but i dont like his vocal trance at all, not my kind of trance. But yes he is definatley a talented producer, but as a DJ i wouldnt rank him anywhere near Armin etc...

You don't like Beautiful, Gamemaster, Angel etc?????

Now with the CDJ Vs Vinyl, i also find CDJ harder, vinyl is more real and you have a more direct control over it which makes it a whole lot easier...BUT in real sense it's really a sense of which suits you best.

i dont see a big difference with cdj or vinyl really.

just have to get used to the sensitivity of the jog on the cdj's and the pitch control... but once you have had a few goes its quite easy.

now going from say a cdj 100 to a cdj 1000 is different... they are both really different sensitivty wise.

game master is different, its not a true vocal trance track. I love that track, the others i find cheesey, but thats just my opinion

Well at the moment i find CDJs hard to use, but thats cause i dont really have access to use one (hopefully changing soon!!) but from people who use both they say CD is a bit easier once you get used to it cause u dont have to keep touching up like you do on turntables because turntables flutter etc.... espcially old ones

in melb's i thought darey was excellent. sure he played a lot of anthems, but he played what he is famous for & what people expected from him. his mixing was very good.

You can change the sensitivity of hte CDJ1000, so it acts like the 100, Only figured that out the other week, lol

Mangler: If Darey had played a set like Armin, I'd of been disapointed. I'm glad he played the way he did
