I know in every trend on TA about genres of trance, this has been brought up and debated about, but your missing 'Cybertrance'
I know this type of trance hasn't been popular in europe or whatever since the mid 90s, but it's a real genre and here in the western us our 'cybertrance' movement is the core of our trance scene.
Cybertrance artists are like Mars, Mystre, Dyloot, Tom Slik.. Artists that command audiences that rival international/popular artists when they spin at events here in the western us.
| quote: | | MARS: The cybertrance movement is based on the 1994-96 Frankfurt beat scene. ... First of all, cybertrance and mostly dance music on a whole is still very premature. It's young, it's not all it could be and not all it's going to be - I still think there's a lot of work to be done with it. ... Cybertrance, to me, is a virtual-reality trance - it's a trance that actually paints a picture through the use of sounds, similar to the music in the movie Fantasia. Basically, Fantasia is based off an orchestral piece - a flute is a bird, hard drums is a big elephant walking. Now that's a universal concept around the world - Cybertrance is able to paint a picture through sound. ... I believe the music is good and that's why it's becoming more and more popular. |
I just quoted this from a interview of mars about his cybertrance genre pioneering. Mars is considered the pioneer of cybertrance in the new era,
I know this won't convince people, if any. Even though cybertrance based on a state-wide scene, I don't think this genre of trance is a fad, but one day mars' hardwork will be paid off and the cybertrance movement will be reconized world-wide.
