I never said that the focus of the forum was anything other than trance. I was just commenting on how much more could actually be accomplished (thinking positively) here if we had someone who played a more proactive role in the forum and combined ideas and knowledge to make it a more inviting place - something that people would actually want to be a part of in comparison to the pissing contest that it's been deduced to.

Absentee landlords seldom maintain their properties as well as those who actually occupy the premises, so what would make an absentee moderator any different (other than monetary expenditures)? I guess we just have to live with the fact that this whole situation is controlled by partisan politics as Ian made friends with Swamper way back in 1998 - and the rest of us don't really even know who either person is other than a digital signature and a profile page.

seems this board is ran with power hunger...honestly its fine although most of the names up for nominee's are fairly new to this section i'd like to see where MIZZUNO and PHOTON(dennis) are. they were here longer than I was but seem to be weeded out by the new comers. they decided to slowly move away from the boards. What happen to TWILOGODDESS? she would be a decent mod, like anyone else who was around when this board became what it is.

ian is doing whatever he is doing, it still does not affect this board, we still have our board, and we still represent NY//DC//BOSTON +surrounding areas properly. My only gripe about this board is that we have 3 sticky's that basically ask the same thing: WHERE THE HELL DO YOU LIVE!

I mean I dont want to sound biased but this board is full of it lately. Im saying this only because with all the chitter chatter on these boards there is still a 7th degree of seperation here, i witnessed it and im sure alot of old schoolers see it. trance in general is what we are here for. whether we support these popular DJs or local DJs or even make 5000 PVD Threads, lets get real and keep the boards tight.

just my .02 boards are fine as they are!

yeah, i agree with that.

Yet noone seems to care, or at least they don't seem to be able to say - that they don't want to just 'settle' for a NYTA figurehead.

Bleh, I say.
