Doesn't it say something to you that Israel, despite all its "heavy weaponry", hasn't obliterated Palestine completely? They could do it in the wink of an eye, but they don't, because the Israelis have this ridiculous idea in their heads that a peaceful solution is actually possible.

Since you obviously haven't read any of my posts or anybody else's posts in this thread and just decided to throw in your two cents and hope for the best, I'll reiterate it for you: "Inciting violence" in Palestine is like topping up an almost-full gas tank. They are already blowing up civilians. Exactly how much worse do you think it can get? If Palestine decides to retaliate on a ridiculous level, it's just giving Israel more of a reason to take more serious military action - retaliation isn't a very smart move on part of Palestine, as I'm sure there are several Israelis who, as photos in this thread have suggested, would like Israel to "finish the job." (Whether or not this is the right thing to do isn't the point - the point is that people in Israel are looking for an excuse to get rid of more enemies of the state now).

That must be the most stupid argument I havev heard in this thread so far.

The Israeli battle against terror hasn’t got anything to do with religion. Muslims can believe in whatever they want, but when it comes to killing Israeli civilians and blowing them selves up after receiving Yassin's blessing Israel can't just stay passive.

Im not justifying the way Israel was created, I also think it was wrong not to have it all coordinated with the Arabs who were leaving in Israel at that time.
But sending young Palestinians to blow them selves up when they have their whole lives in front of them and saying its gods will is just unmoral in my opinion.

i was referring to the speach some Israeli stateleader or whatever said, i dont remember who, i heard it on the radio, who said "oh we are proud of the attack and blablabla... if you are going to take someone out, send a sniper or whatever... dont launch four fucking missiles into the street...

You have no sence of history or operative constraints.

Yassin was targeted in September with only one missle. This didn't kill him, all it did was give him a small scarth on his hand. They used helicopters with a light missle. If it wanted to, it could have sent an F-16 instead and leveled the building he was in.

Considering the fact that Israel could not deploy a sniper team without great risk to the sniper team itself (via insertion and extraction) and other Palestinians (if the sniper team came underfire, the civilian casualties caused in the crossfire to feverntly defend the lives of the sniper team, would most likely be high) it decided to use helicopters. Making sure Yassin would not escape death once again, they launched a few extra missles to make sure he was dead. I see no problem with that.

The strike was conducted at very early morning, when most everyone was indoors, and sleeping. The place was not crowded, and civilian casualties were very low.

If Israel could have done the strike more humanily without incuring more risk they would have. Please, unless you don't know the speific operational circumstances of an operation telling us how it "should have been done".

Next time I guess Israel needs to kill their terrorist enemies, we should call a Norwegian sniper team to do the job for us successfully and humanily, right? I'm sure you guys will just be lining up and volunteering
