Just now got power, about 5 days worth of black. Experiencing no power kinda makes you stay creative. I was at my friends house at another hurricane party, a block from where i live. The whole time the eye of the hurricane was here my friends and I were goin crazy half naked out in the storm! it was sooo fun@! We were swimin in the pool in middle of the storm as well. Things were flyin and hittin us in the face n such. We hopped up on these pillars things and yelled "is this all you got!" We had to duck a couple of times when signs and trees were flyin by. That was the first and best dang hurricane i have experienced. Ive been through stroms like this in other parts of the country but its just not warm enough over there to run around outside durin it. P.S. Even though i had a good time in the storm, i know others got stuff facked up. I am sorry for those who did.

I have to say we had the best hurricane party ever. A couple TAs from Atlanta were down visiting in Orlando. They decided to come over as well as some of their friends. We had a bunch of people here. We didn't have a big enough cooler, so we filled my bathtub with over 100 beers, wine coolers, liquor, you name it. Then we added 21 bags of ice. Sorry Orlando folks we used up all the ice.
Funny story... at one point we decided to run around outside in the middle of the hurricane. Jeff was spinning and all of a sudden I hear the beginning of "standing in the rain," so now we are all dancing and singing in the street to "standing in the rain" in the middle of a hurricane. Good times!!!

I had family north of Punta Gorda, FL area. They evacuated before the hurricane came. I feel real sorry for the people over there with their homes destroyed and all of their belongings.
