Yes.

Well, that is, two different dates printed on the covers. The content will be exactly the same since Tiesto will probably play the same for the two nights.

Wonder how many sheep would buy both without actually checking what's on it (assuming that two DVDs are released, which I can't see happening, and if it will happen, it'll probably be one for the Holland concerts, and one for the Belgian one).

Someone was saying something about Tiesto doing things just for the money? Wake up.

Yes. Wake up and accept capitalism. I'm fed up of people refusing to listen to artists who make money, or who suddenly hate a track if it charts. Artists have to make money, and the bigger they are, the more money they make. That's why Tiesto and PVD have suddenly "sold-out", it's because they're now the most popular DJs in the world.

If we judged music on how underground it is, speedcore and such crap would be the ultimate in music. It's just elitism, and it's pissing me off to the fullest on this forum right now.

This is very true. Of course you will get retorts with examples of popular DJs that have "kept it real" in a sense. It does get tiring to hear people slag off Tiesto et. al. for making alot of money. If you had a market you could tap into and live well off of would you do it, or would you take the monetary high road and only except enough money to cover your expenses?? I know what I'd do and it would be the latter as opposed to the former. IMO, alot of people just look for reasons to hate artists/DJs and the money question is always a good target.

There's a big difference between making money and bloated greed. $70 is a ridiculous price to charge when you only have to pay ONE DJ, setup ONE sound system and ONE DJ booth. Huge festivals like Mysteryland or Ultra book hundreds of acts on multiple stages and still charge less.

Very, very true.

And, like someone else said, it does get boring hearing how Tiësto, PVD, or Oakey have "sold-out to the masses." And it is only when they start hitting number one and getting more popular than you'd like them to be. For example, I don't recall any bitching about William Orbit remaking Samuel Barber's classical piece and slapping his name on it. But when Tiësto did the exact same thing, people made it front-page news.

Real sad.

Yes, because we all know that the live acts and dancers and all the pyro came for free (sorry for the sarcasm).

Yes, those may not totally justify the ticket price, but to simplify TIC to a DJ, a booth, and a sound system is a gross understatement. All this comes down to is supply and demand and apparently (seeing as both events are sold out) there is enough demand for the $70 ticket price. Heck, if I had the ability and the finances to attend I would have dropped $70 on it. To say something is overpriced is somewhat realtive and determined alot by how you view the quality of the end product. You may not think a night of Tiesto is worth $70 but obviously there are plenty of people out there who think the contrary. I also wouldn't consider a $70 ticket price bloated greed.
