man, cyrus, i love your name (cyrus) and i love your ibiza documentary, but honestly, dont be such a puss cheddar. fact is, in war, innocent poeple die, and people fuck up. dont single out the US military, just cause you hate george bush, and assume us "yanks" dont give a fuck about innocent people. one bad (in some peoples opinion) president, and you assume every one of us 300 million poeple are assholes. you know what?
fuck you. i guess we are assholes. or maybe you're the asshole for not thinking about what you're posting, or getting the whole story, or letting your feelings get the best of you.
on a lighter note:

Supposedly Saddam was murdering hordes of innocents to the amount that some people were calling it genocide. Someone finaly gets the balls to stand up to him and you come to the conclusion that the army is a bunch of terrorists? War is disgusting and terrible, but I beleive that sometimes it is needed to prevent something that is even worse. Supposedly Saddam surrounded himself with huge crowds of civilians to keep people from bombimg him, part of the enemie's strategy is to put innocents in harms way in order to discourage anyone with compassion from attacking.
But then later they will continue torturing and murdering and raping and building their palaces while the rest of their people suffer. At some point it gets so awful that the compassionate have to stand up despite them not wanting to let innocent people die.
The US Army are not terrorists, terrorists attack innocent people to get the things we want, as disgusting as that link is to look at, the American are actually trying to hunt the guilty, despite their talent for hiding among the innocent.
I'm not saying that USA isn't dirty and corrupt and full of its own problems. I hate that the admins care so much about oil and are in bed with the oil business. I think its retarded that they tried to link saddam with osama and the whole WMD bullshit. I very much agree with you that Americans make themselves out to be a lot more rightous than they really are. We take 70% of the world's resources and try to contorl the entire world and spread democracy to places that don't want it, and have no right to do so. I think lots of other countries are justified in their anger at America, and it is very understandable that they want to attack.
But it is not USA's fault that they cannot fight us honorably, at least give some sort of ultimatum, get your children out of the way so we can have it out at each other without senseless killing. We do that for them, but they care more about their own agenda's than they do about human life.
You can say all sorts of shit about our country but we aren't interested in killing innocent people. The people who are in the military figting are doing so because they beleive that what they are doing will prevent something much worse. I know they would love nothing more then to stop killing and go home and see their families again, the soldiers arent there to steal, even if the government is.
I have friends who have come back from the fighting and they aren't even the same people anymore. War fucked them up and they are always gonna be traumatized because of it, they very well could have seen that kind of shit every day in person, and your going crazy just watching something from your computer. These soldiers are all kids fresh out of highschool, who are there because they want to make people's lives better.
You may be have a lot dirt US government but you have no idea what is really going on with the people who actualy live here.

I see a lot of unfortunate conclusions in this thread - I can only hope that they are just people venting their rage for the deaths of so many innocents, and not truly their feelings on the matter.
It's easy to just say kill em' all -whether you're talking about the US military OR the middle eastern peoples- but that's just it, it's the easy way out. Nobody ever said that the right thing was always going to be easy. Peace is a fragile thing; as such, we've only had about 2 full years of true peace on Earth within the last 2000 years, and you can bet that those 2 years were occupied with sweeping up the charred battlefield. We must never forget that we are dealing with people here, not numbers.
Half of my life was spent being raised in a military family on Air Force bases throughout the world. If there is one thing I have noticed throughout all of my travels, it's that people are the same just about wherever you go - dumb, stupid, pushy, greedy, kind, considerate, generous and magnanimous. It doesn't matter if you're military or non-military; people are just people. We're all just trying to eek out a happy existence on this rock full of many different viewpoints, with many of the same goals and dreams being universal.
War is an inevitablity: always has been, always will be. It's just human nature... but that is just part of the story. Human nature, in it's totality, is making war and regretting it. We are not soulless machines bent on destruction all of the time; the mark of a true human is sympathy, empathy, the will to repair what has been lost in the midst of so much war. It's normal to be bloodthirsty at first, just don't let that part of your soul be consumed; realize your actions and actualize your potential for humanity. Have the will to create as well as destroy and all will be forgiven ^_^
