nice mix, the first transition blew me away i had to rewind my md to find it like 3 times, i liked the blue haze track and the first derek howell, and the MV mix kicks the shit outta the leama and moore mix. nice ending track i listened to this mix b4 bed and was so relaxed, fell asleep right after(usually have sleeping problems). This seemed the MOST chilled out of all the mixes which is neither good or bad. Keep up the good work.| quote: | | btw, the feedback you generated here did not necassiraly (sp?) generate because of a diffrence, more likely that because people enjoy this specialized genre, and you probably deliver it skillfully. | I don't agree, i like these mixes because i haven't heard most of the tracks, you don't see him playing find, wave force, the world doesn't know, (in other words the popular songs that markus plays), he plays the b-sides, instead of playing bill hammels remix of into nothing(which is most popular) he plays the original, instead of playing the kosmas epsilon mix of wooden swordz he plays nikola's, instead of still rain he plays radience. These are just some examples. I think the songs here are chosen to be pretty new but not overplayed new songs. Just my 2 cents.

Fluff prog, Bog Prog, McProg, call it what you want. Steve's mixes encompass an entirely different style of progressive house. Markus Schulz does not play many of the tracks he plays, even Sasha, Diggers, and JZ don't. He does his research, shops around, and finds hidden gems that others aren'y willing to give a chance because they aren't on 'the same labels, by the same artists, with the same sounds.' Most progressive breaks are actually not in that category if you do your homework and don't follow the latest playlist of the 'big names.'

do you honestly think that you are in those 10%?
if so, why?
you play pretty much what the second 'half' of ta play (genre-wise)
|
He might play what the second 'half' of TA plays genre-wise, yes, but he's not playing the same recycled crap that everyone else is. The over used Probspot pads and basslines, the newest Luke Chable or Bedrock release. I'm sorry to say, but I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with your entire rant.
