Also...like i have said a million times...u can NEVER judge a track with headphones...if u never heard a track in a club then u will never truly hear that track....so tracks that may SEEM good at home may sound like crap in a club...and vice-versa.

bro, i really wonder if the people who are constantly complaining about every track have ever set foot in a club in their lives (or at least set foot in a club prior to 2003)...

and rada, suburban train was almost universally acknowledged to be a massive fucking tune when it came out. you've been exposed as a noob way too many times to keep clinging to the 'i'm-an-elitist-from-back in-the-day' schtick.

I'm not getting into this argument...

Anyway, though he can be a complete asswipe sometimes, just like me, I trust Radagast to have a good taste in music (just like me ). So what are the 10 best trance tracks, in your opinion, Radagast?

Nothing fucks me off more than a fan that thinks a DJ can do no wrong. There is a lot of good music out there. How some people can be so easily pleased is beyond my comprehension.

i think there's plenty of new stuff out there. benz & md, micah, vicki cocks, joshua ryan, and katana just for starters. i mean i could go through my collection and just list shite off but i'll spare the space on this thread. a lot of what i mentioned is progressive i know but i'm not into epic and anthem trance like i am progressive and tech trance. i used to be. its just that my taste changed. anyway back to my point, i think that trance IS taking a new direction. many producers are crossing boundaries and mashing categories together. take for example the latest collaboration between junkie xl and tiesto, and sasha and felix the house cat. thats pretty off the wall, no? this brings us dj's and fans out of our comfort zones. theyre kinda forcing us to move on from the old to something new. it could also be that many of our iconic dj's that we love so much are just wearing out their sound. i think its time for some fresh blood. i REALLy have a hard time when people say theres nothing new out there. dig a little deeper in those vinyl bins. theres always something new. granted it's not always easy to find.
and by the way. give it up for canada for producing artists like micah and benz & md.

Wow... are u SURE u didn't mean to INSULT him???

Well... What's the difference between listening to a 1992 trance in 2004, than listening to a 1992 trance in 1992?

Does it warp with time does it?

We may not be hard nuts like you, but seriously, ease up man...

I wanna be an awesome club DJ,

what sort of tracks should I be looking to drop in clubs, as opposed to the stuff i drop when practicing at home, which sound awesome???

How will i know a track is awesome to drop in a club?

Oh God. While it's true that you shouldn't judge a track by what it sounds like through some headphones, you can still get an idea of what it will sound like, if you have a big system with good subs. Dance music is designed to be played through a monster system, and they often sound surprisingly different through good speakers.

Ultimately, as a DJ, the tracks you drop will just sound better in a club. If you think they're good enough to play through your headphones, they'll really go off in a club.

This in my view is mostly only with trance theres alot of good comeing out on the other style which explains why alot of trance djs are incoperating it into there sets. But i mean come on airbase has just left us. Nothing tiesto is putting out compares to silence, Iv heard some good stuff but it stays small and no one hears it. All the livesets iv heard up to now have been repetitive shit and 2 many djs are getting cocky about themeselves. Whats going on with electronica i mean back in the day id get hyped up at the thought of staying home on a friday night to listen to a ferry corstein mix but now im just bored. Anyways there was my rant i have now just put my volcano suit on so fire away.

you just need to spend more 10 hours per day browsing juno's and chemical's samples
