all Mr Cass said is that prog is forward thinking. the member i quoted also said that prog is forward thinking, so how is he disagreeing with what a professional said?

he only added two other facts of prog, which are subtlenss, and less obvious. which are both correct. so what u on about?

No, but a producer knows alot more about music, in general.

a prog track: sasha - xpander
a trance track: tiesto - urban train

prog facts being discussed: prog is more subtle and less obvious.

now u telling me them facts aint correct? xpander is a track that stays the same throughout, much more complex and calmer. more subtle and less obvious

urban train has a massive build up and a big fuck off breakdown, cant get any more obvious or predictable.

christ.

so if I produce music, then I know more than others....is that your theory? I don't think it holds water because anyone can make tracks these days, so if you make tracks, you know more about music. I don't make tracks and I have a fair bit of knowledge about music, does that mean if Mr.A produces, he knows more than I do?

You're going in circles. It's progressive because it's subtle and less obvious, and it's less obvious and subtle because it's progressive?

*sigh* ok, sorry, I meant more experienced producers. Not some kid trying out Cubase for the first time.

look ive had enough here and im not the only one.

all uve done in this thread is pick fault and be annoying. you've had nothing of solid opinion, or fact to contribute. uve not posted any post with some solid reading material, just picked away at everyone elses with ur little one liners forcing more justification from the post u picked at, which you then pick at some more.

i cant be arsed to carry on with this and i think it'd be in everyones interests if u just fucked off out of this thread, although the threads original topic has been well and truely mared, mainly by your own idiocy.

nice one.
